Chapter 13

When they reached the main part of the small pack village, Sehun lead Jimin and Taehyung to the later house house by Taehyung's request, he wanted to confront his father in a private setting, rather than in the meeting hall, where matters like these were usually dealt with and discussed.

Sehun then left to go check whether the patrol had returned and to get on with other duties.

Taehyung knocked on the door waiting for his father to answer.
He felt Jimin slowly moving behind him, his had still tightly clasped with his.

"Hey don't worry, it's gonna be fine alright."

The door swung open suddenly Taehyung's father appearing in the doorway, a flustered and stressed look on his face.

"Kim Taehyung where have you been, I've been worried sick about you."

He pulled Taehyung into a tight hug making him stumble forward a little.

"I was about to send a search party, I thought the hunters got you too, don't worry me like that again."

Taehyung began feeling guilty for not returning sooner, though he couldn't've due to the circumstances, as he  knew the man was referring to his bother.

"I'm sorry for worrying you father."

They pulled out of the hug, his father glancing past Taehyung, finally noticing the small figure hidden behind.

"Taehyung, who's this, he isn't a member of the pack, he can't be here."

"Father can we please discuss this inside, he's no threat. I brought him here on a promise of safety."

He glanced between them both then nodded hesitantly, stepping aside allowing them to pass.

Still holding Jimin's hand, they take a seat in the living room, Taehyung's father standing in front of the couch they were sitting on, the other side of the coffee table in the center of the room.

"Explain. Who is this and why did you bring him here?" He asked a serious tone in his voice. He was going against his own laws allowing Taehyung to bring Jimin here, so his annoyance was understandable.

Letting go of Taehyung's hand, Jimin plucked up some courage pushing through his anxiety and stood up, bowing at a 90 degree angle, "I'm Park Jimin sir, nice to meet you." He said in a small voice, then standing straight again after a few seconds.

"I brought him here because he needs a place to stay as his home is no longer safe. He has nowhere to go." Taehyung said now also standing.

"Does he not have a pack, why can't he go to them for protection?"

Taehyung glanced at Jimin for approval, he nodded lightly giving permission.

"No, they were all killed by hunters, he was the only one to survive. He has been living alone since then." Taehyung explained in a low sad tone hoping my father would understand his circumstance.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He responded gently in a sympathetic tone looking towards Jimin, Jimin simply nodded and smiled lightly, trying to put on a brave face. Though, Taehyung could see the sadness on his features at the mention of his pack.
