Adaline sat in front of her makeup vanity, wrapping strands of her hair around a hot curler, making tight curls out of her dark brown hair. Today, she was getting her stitches out, and she couldn't hold in her excitement. She wanted to look nice for this small moment.

Perhaps having a boyfriend added to the excitement.

Her and Noel's date was amazing. They went to the Grille for dinner and Adler's Ice Cream Shop for dessert, and she didn't feel nervous about eating. She was comfortable eating in front of her dad and her friends, but she would refuse to eat in public. It just made her feel nauseous. But not with Noel.

With Noel, they shared a basket of cheese fries. In her mind, it was the best food she had even tasted. Along with the ice cream.  But nothing tasted better than what happened later that night.

Noel walked her to her front door, keeping a close, but comfortable distance away from her. He brushed her hair out of her face and leaned in, close enough that she could pull away if she wanted, but she didn't. She filled the gap. She could taste the cinnamon mint on his lips.

He pulled away, whispering that he would text her later, and headed back to his car. Noel waited until Adaline was safely in her house before driving away.

Adaline had relived that memory many times. After she locked the door to her house, she rushed upstairs to her room to fill Aria and Spencer in on all the juicy details. They relished in the story, listening like squealing schoolgirls.

She finished her hair and makeup and went to get dressed, pulling on a pair of dark jeans and flowy blouse. Rushing while putting on shoes, she glanced at her phone, seeing a message from Aria.

Aria:
You'll never believe
what Jason just did.

Adaline furrowed her eyebrows. What could've Jason done? She knew that he was coming over to Spencer's that morning to discuss Alison's memorial, but it couldn't have gone that south. All of the girls were there that morning, besides her, so they were going to have to fill her in.

"Dad," said Adaline, walking down the stairs. "Can we stop by Spencer's on the way there? Jason was just.."

Adaline turned the corner into her kitchen to see Jason DiLaurentis sitting at her dining room table. Instantly, she froze, stopping her sentence.

"I was just what?" asked Jason. His dirty blonde hair was slicked back in a respectable manner. Obviously, he had changed since the last time she saw him, but how far was that change?

"You were just there," she said quickly, rebounding from her frozen moment. "And they were gonna fill me in on the memorial."

Jason smiled slyly, holding up pieces of paper. "No need," he said. "I have the plan right here."

Adaline walked over and took the papers from his hand - here eyes darting over the information. Time slots were limited. Each of the girls had time to talk, Jason had time, and there were a few time slots for music playing. Then she saw it: what Aria was talking about.
