Kabanata 10

Silence.

Parang tumigil ang oras nang naka ganon ang lahat, nakatingin saakin na tila ba's nagkaroon ako muli ng isa pang ulo, at well, ang iba namang kaklase ay ginagawa ang kanilang makakaya na makontrol ang tawa.

Gumalaw naman ako ng pakanan at sa kasamaang palad naman ay nadanggi ang dildo at lumagapak ito sa lapag. The sound that it made was earth-shattering for me, lalo na't hindi pa nakakalimot ang mga tao sa napalakas kong tinuran.

I am sure by now my face is badly reddening, I can feel my ears burning due to the embarrassment. Even though, I'm in the verge of crying and just leaving the room, I still have a remaining quarter of my face to save. 

Tumikhim naman ako ng malakas bago tumingin sa lahat, "U-Uhm, excuse m-me, I need to go the restroom." At mahinanong naglakad palabas ng silid ng walang lingon-lingon.

The Officials must have taken me for a joke, lalo na at kung minamalas nga naman ako at sa ganoong sitwasyon nila ako nadatnan! It was epic! How in the name of hell am I supposed to face them again after what happened? This is so frustrating.

I went directly to my locker, re-arranged my things inside quickly before looking at my reflection in the mirror inside. My flushed face is what's been giving me away ever since. Yes, I can somehow contain my mouth, but my face begs to differ. It was always transparent as to what I truly feel.

"Althea!" Someone from behind called for my name.

Nang lingunin ko ay laking pasasalamat ko ng makita ko ang pamilyar na mukha ni Tattiana, she waved at me. Agad ko namang sinara ang locker ko at pinuntahan kaagad ang gilid niya. 

"Oh, what's with the face? Are you okay?" She asked me while taking a closer look at my face.

Hindi ko nalamang siya sinagot muna at hinila siya papalayo sa karamihan ng tao. When we've reached the spot where I am comfortable at, I told her what has happened. She's serious at first, but when I've disclosed the part where I made a fool out of myself, that's when she started to laugh.

I literally face palmed myself in front of her and leaned on to the wall behind me, "I don't think I can attend to any of  my classes anymore..."

Tattiana's been enjoying, laughing her heart contents out, before siding with me, "You did an awesome job!" Then, more series of laugh came. "Oh, how I wish I was there to witness that historical moment. The Officials must be having their share of fun right now."

Pinunta nalang ako ni Tattiana diretso sa canteen, we bought our lunches at the counter before taking a seat on the corner. Kahit na sa gilid na kami pumwesto ni Tattiana ay hindi pa 'rin napigilan ang sandamakmak na kuryosong tingin sa gawi namin.

"Bakit nga pala nag iikot ang mga school officials ngayon? Is this some sort of habit or something?" I asked out of nowhere.

Tattiana looked at her right side, where the entrance of the canteen is at, before turning to me, "No, actually. Their presence is called and triggered by the recent breach in our territory."

Napakunot naman ako ng noo sa sinabi niya, "Territory? Or do you mean the school's border?" Her choices of words are seriously way too in depth,  "I was there when it happened, hindi ba at 'yun ay tungkol doon sa nakitang lalaki sa kakahuyan? Am I to be given a disciplinary action?"

Napa-iling at kibot nalikat nalang ang nagawa ni Tattiana sa tanong ko, it's as if for the first time that she's uncertain of things. She'd been always the first person to know things, but right now, her vague reply had me thinking of how this can turn out. Bad or good, I need to prepare myself for it.

A strong scent of musk and after-shave had me quickly dropping my utensils, not only that the scent is making me uneasy, but also, it's making my insides tremble with too much of excitement and satisfaction. I then gripped the ends of our table tighter when the smell was mixed again by the passing of air.

I can't help but to bit my lower lip, "Tattiana, where is that smell coming from?"

"Huh? What smell are you talking about?" She asked in confusion, "Is it the smell of burnt hotdogs in that stall over there, or the heavenly smell of mac and cheese that I'm eating?"

I nodded my head no to all of her assumptions. It is impossible that I am the only one smelling this irresistible scent, for this is way too distracting not to notice.

As I kept on glancing on both sides, Tattiana seemed to have no interest in anything when she took a bite of her cup of macaroni and cheese bowl. She even moaned at the contact of the food with he mouth for the first time, and I can't do anything but laugh and smile at her. Maybe, I'm just way too worn out.

Nang matapos akong kumain ay nag presenta ako kay Tattiana na ako an ang magdadala ng pingakainan namin sa kabilang dulo ng cafeteria. I piled up our plates and utensils evenly before carrying it towards the dropping are for the used dishes. Habang ilalapag ko ang pinagkainan namin ay mayroong nakadanggi sa braso ko, the girl said her apologies kaya naman ipinag walang bahala ko nalamang. Dahil unang-una, this part of the cafeteria's also crowded kaya hindi masyadong big deal ang banggaan ng katawan sa isa't-isa.

We made our way outside the cafeteria at magpapaalam na sana si Tattiana ng mapatingin siya sa akin, with wide eyes and concerned look, she took a hold of both my shoulders and started to sniff me. Napatawa naman ako ng bahagya nang gawin niya ulit 'to, "What are you doing, Tattiana? Hindi naman ako ang mabaho," Then I slowly disengage her right hand.

Tinitigan pa 'rin niya ako ng mapanukat at aligaga habang nagalaw ako, nang mapatingin sa hawak ko ay namilog ang mga mata niya at bigla niya akong hinaklit. Nagulat naman ako sa ginawa niya at aalma na sana nang makita ko ang pinakatititigan niya.

"You're bleeding! How did you get this scratch, for goodness sake!"

My blood kept on flowing, hindi naman ganoon ka lalim ang gasgas ngunit sapat na upang magdugo ng sobra. Napakunot naman ako ng noo nang maalala ang nakabangga saakin sa cafeteria, "Hindi naman siguro sinasadya, may nakadanggi lang saakin kanina habang nagbabalik ng kinainan natin. This is nothing..."

Inilabas ko naman ang panyo ko at pinahiran ito, ngunit nang makita ko ng mas malapitan at klaro ang sugat ay kinabahan ako. It's not just a simple scratch or something!

Written on my skin is a pattern of three 'x', an inch long per symbol.

Pagkatingin ko kay Tattiana ay nagsimula na itong magtagis ang panga at umiling sa nakita niya. 

"Fuck protocols! I am calling Sire Travis this instant!" She said with anger and fear.
