If it wasn't for the fact that this was serious, I would have laughed.

Their expressions once I told them about Rich Greek Guy were hilarious.

Vannah recovered first, "So, lemme get this straight. Some rich Greek guy kidnapped you because he wants us to steal some microchip that Julius supposedly made." I nodded. Jodi raised a brow, "That sounds... weird." I nodded again.

"And you agreed?" Zeph asked disbelievingly. "Just what did that guy threaten you with?"

"I know it sounds crazy, and completely unlike me, but he had something that I desperately want. Trust me, it's really important," I said pleadingly. I had to get Prof's flash...it was extremely important that I did so.

The girls glanced at each other and at me like I had lost it before Jodi sighed, "Okay. We'll do this."

"Hang on, we still don't know if his chip in the glass sculpture story is true," Shannon said. "For all we know, he's probably some Greek mafia that just wants us to do his dirty work for him." I nearly chuckled. Greek mafia. Is that even a thing?

"Shannon's right. We need to make sure he's not pulling our legs," Essence said.

"Which is why we're going to do some digging. Koby, check out our Greek friend. He's approximately 6'5'', has dark brown hair and blue eyes. He also has an aquiline nose," I said thoughtfully. "The rest of us will check the study for this mysterious microchip." Koby nodded and went to get her computer. The other girls and I went down to the study. The large, double mahogany doors stared at me, in a certain nauseous way. Years after and I was still feeling squeamish at the thought of entering the place. I took a deep breath before opening the door.

It was still the same, only dustier. Still giving off creepy vibes. "You know, at some point, I really wanted to tear down this place," Zeph said quietly. I turned to the girls and grinned, "Then let's tear it down."

Let's just say it's a good thing cats have powerful claws.

Forty-five minutes of tearing and searching, we still hadn't found anything. Although, the exercise itself was rather enjoyable, so I'm not complaining. Koby then marched into the office carrying a laptop. She inspected our work before nodding, "Nice work, demolition crew."

I shook my head and chuckled. "Anyway," she continued, "I found Rich Greek Guy." I knew it would catch on.

She placed the laptop on the table and showed us a Wikipedia page.

God bless Wikipedia.

"His name is Adonis Othonos and he's the owner of a multinational conglomerate. He's into tons of stuff, especially food items, and he has been known to partner with different people for different projects. It didn't specifically say Julius, but..." "It's a good chance," I finished. Stupid Rich Greek Guy. Who in their right mind partners with Julius Sinclair?

"Even in death that bastard's screwing us over," Zeph ranted. Funny. That's exactly what I thought. "I mean," she continued, "what are the odds that he makes a microchip and doesn't give the sponsor who paid for it? And who in their right mind partners with Julius Sinclair?" Also what I thought.

"An idiot. Simple," Paris said. "Ess, are you okay?" Vannah said and we turned to Essence. I frowned as I noticed that she looked rather pale, paler than her already fair skin. Her eyes also looked weird. She answered, "I'm fine Vann, don't worry." She suddenly tripped on something and fell into the back wall. A picture that was hung up broke and we saw the large hole that it was covering.

"Holy goddamned shit," Tammi said then shook her head, "Ess, are you okay?" We ran to make sure Essence was okay. She groaned, "That was more painful than it looks." Vannah helped her up, "I'll take her upstairs. You guys keep looking." They left and we turned back to the hole in the wall.

"I found it!" Paris yelled. It turns out that the hole was filled with plans, blueprints and journals, all filled with Julius' research.

I had to hand it to the guy, he was a monster, but he was crazy smart.

We looked at the design of the microchip, complete with the glass sculpture casing. "That definitely looks like something someone would spend fifteen million dollars on, or even more," Koby said. "The technology behind it alone, it's mind-blowing."

"Yeah, we can appreciate the genius that is Julius Sinclair later, not when we're currently trying to fix his mess," Zeph said. Vannah entered the room but she looked distracted.

I turned to her, "Is Essence okay?" She looked at me then hesitated before saying, "Yeah, she's good." Then she frowned.

I held her shoulders, "Vannah?"

She shook her head, "Later, not now. Learn anything new about the microchip?"

"Other than it exists, no," Ember said. Koby looked up from her computer and sighed, "I've got nothing too. The chip itself was supposed to be secret. Finding where they're auctioning it will be hard, let alone the chip itself."

"If it's that hard to find, the security on the auctioning venue will be tight," Jordan said before she turned to me, "What day is today?"

I understood immediately, "Day 2. Only three more." "And we're screwed," Ember said. "Not yet," Shannon said. She raised the book she was flipping through, "In this journal, Julius sold the chip to some guy named Faustino Gutierrez for nine million. He has to know where the chip is."

"Koby," I said. "I'm on it," she replied and started pushing buttons.

Nine million dollars for a fifteen million dollar sculpture. I didn't know who to mock more – rich Greek guy or this Gutierrez person. A few minutes later Koby said, "I couldn't find his address, but the guy owns a pub in Mexico."

"You sure it's the same guy?" Jordan questioned. Koby nodded, "Positive. He actually owns a whole chain of pubs in Mexico and a big family restaurant in Cancun."

"Sounds like him. The guy did pay nine million dollars for a sculpture," Paris said.

"In that case, Vannah, go check if Essence is okay to travel. Jodi, call Rich Greek Guy's pilot and tell him where were going. The rest of you, pack your stuff. Pack light, we may do a lot of travelling," I said.

"Where exactly are we going? He has a lot of pubs, we can't search each one," Koby said.

"We're not going to the pubs. He has a lot, he won't be there," I said. "But he does have a family restaurant. So, even if he's not there, one member of his family is and they would know where he is. We're going to Cancun."
