Hyunjin's eyes sprung open, his breathing erratic. He swallowed hard, trying to keep control. He didn't want to wake Seungmin. They hadn't had a solid night of sleep in a week. He slipped out of the bed and went to the living room, curling up on the couch. He pulled a blanket over himself and tried to slow his breathing. As he tried, his mind began racing with thoughts of his nightmare. The stage collapsing, Felix caught under a beam, no sign of Minho, flashing lights, a cloud of dust, lightning, laughing, falling... He closed his eyes tightly and banged the heel of his hand against the side of his head, trying to shake the nightmare loose. He tried to bring it back under control, but he was trying too hard, breathing too deep, too fast. He felt it coming, tried to fight, but the harder he tried, the worse it became. He began to hyperventilate. He slipped to the floor, crying and fearful. The shadows were moving. The room spun around him while he tried to crawl back to the bedroom. "S-S-Min..." he mumbled between gulping breaths. He tried to stand at the door and squeaked, "MIN!"

Seungmin woke, slightly disoriented and turned his head just in time to see Hyunjin hit the floor.

Changbin's phone rang, startling him awake. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the time. Then he looked at the number. "Seungmin?" he asked, grabbing up his phone and answering quickly, "Seungmin? What's wrong?" He knew if Seungmin was calling him at 3am, it wasn't with good news. "Okay, calm down, buddy. I'll be there in a minute. Did you call an ambulance? Okay. Is he breathing properly? Alright, I'm on my way." He was already out of bed and pulling on a pair of jeans. He put on his shoes, grabbed his phone, jacket, and keys and flew out the door.

He pulled up to the building and parked in the fire lane up front. He ran inside, hit the elevator and waited impatiently for it to open. When he got to Hyunjin's door, he knocked and waited for Seungmin to answer. Seungmin jerked the door open and Changbin became even more frightened. He'd been crying and had a bit of blood on his shirt. "What the fuck? Where is he?" Changbin asked, rushing into the apartment. He saw Hyunjin still laying in the doorway, now with a towel under his head. Seungmin had been afraid to move him because he'd hit his head when he passed out. "Seungmin, we need to call an ambulance. We could hurt him if we try to move him," he explained to his panicked friend. Seungmin nodded. "Hold that tightly to his head. It doesn't look bad, but that doesn't mean there's no injury." Seungmin again nodded and held the cloth tightly, be cautious not to turn Hyunjin's head. Changbin got on the phone and called the emergency number, asking for an ambulance. He explained what happened and that he'd be waiting for them. "I've got to go get my car out of their way. Stay here, and Seungmin, stay calm. They're on their way. If he wakes up, don't let him get up." Changbin raced back to the elevator and made another call, knowing the guys would be wild if they didn't know something like this had happened and he was genuinely worried about how hard Hyunjin hit. He called Chan, knowing that he for sure would be easy to wake. "Hey, I'm sorry it's so early. Listen, Hyunjin passed out and hit his head, I'm with Seungmin waiting for an ambulance. Can you call the other guys and let them know what's going on? Chan, he hit hard. You guys might want to meet us at the hospital." He talked while he pulled his car out of the way and across the street.

"Damn. Yeah, I'll get everybody there. Do you have Seungmin under control?" Chan asked quickly.

"Yeah, I've got him. Hey, they're here, I gotta go," he hung up quickly and ran across to meet the EMTs. He led them to the elevator, giving them a quick run-down of what he knew. When they got to the room, Hyunjin was still out. Seungmin was in a state of shock, staring down at him as he stroked through Hyunjin's hair. The EMTs had to get Seungmin to move away so they could get to him. At first, he was resistant, but Changbin gripped his arm and pulled him up. "They've got him. They're going to take care of him. You've got to let them," Changbin explained gently, pulling Seungmin into a hug.

The EMT explained that they were going to immobilize his neck, just because they don't know if there's an injury or not. They worked together to place him on the stretcher and then the one who had been talking to Changbin told them that all of his vitals were good, so they weren't extremely worried. His blood pressure, pulse, and breathing are all great. He said it was very likely Hyunjin would have a concussion, but it looks like he just cut himself when he went down. Changbin nodded and made sure Seungmin had heard them. He was pretty certain that it had all flown right past him. He told the EMT that Seungmin was really out of it and that he'd drive with him. He got them to the car and they followed the ambulance to the hospital.

On the way there, Seungmin broke down. "I'm supposed to keep him safe. That's my JOB. It's the only thing that matters." He was rambling as he sobbed. Changbin listened, puzzled a bit by the level of concern.

"Seungmin, what's going on? He didn't just pass out, did he?" Changbin asked cautiously.

"He had an attack and couldn't wake me up. I didn't hear him. How did I not hear him?" Seungmin began to ramble again.

"What kind of attack, Seungminnie?" Changbin pressed.

Seungmin looked up to Changbin, starting to calm his thoughts a bit. It wasn't his to tell, but he needed help in dealing with this. He took a long, slow breath and explained the nightmares and panic attacks.
