One Wish

Chapter 2

Tris POV
Caleb drives me to school, like always, in his red jeep. "I'll walk to the pet store after school. No need to wait."
"Okay, Tris. Bye."

I get out of the jeep right away, no need to make Caleb seem uncool just by staying in there longer.

I go into the school and to my locker on the 2nd floor. Once I get there, I slide down the wall out of breath. Another sign. I didn't even walk a lot. It's getting worse. I still don't tell anyone. No one would care. I sat there catching my breath until I felt good enough to walk. I went to my locker and shoved my coat in there, while grabbing my geometry book.

The bell rang signaling period 1, so I walked slowly to geometry. We had 3 minutes in between each class and my class was right up the hall. I sat in the 3rd to last row like normal and opened my book. The teacher, Mr. Matthews, wrote pages on the board and we had to do them on a separate sheet of paper. "If you do not finish its homework. You may begin." There were at least 10 pages up there with 18 questions on each page. Some of the pages were just reading stuff and examples though. Our classes were 45 minutes long. I was on page 8 when the bell rang again.

My next class, Honors English, had some of my brother's friends in there. Christina, Zeke, Will, Molly, and of course Four. We were working on a writing prompt about the gods. My god was Poseidon. Once we wrote them, we had to type them, and then read them in front of the class. I was still in the writing process. I forgot how many pages we needed so I got up to ask Mrs. Church, when Molly stuck her foot out and tripped me. I fell and tried to stand but couldn't. I started feeling sharp pains in my chest again, but stood and tried to hide the pain.

Finally it was 5th period. I had lunch. I go to sit at an unoccupied table, because I always sit alone, when Caleb called my name. "Hey Tris, can I borrow some money?"
"Sure," I said handing some over.
I heard everyone laughing "She's like a little slave."
"She's so fat." He laughed along with all of them. Yeah nice brother.

Gym. Ugh. I hate this class the most because Caleb along with Christina, Four, Zeke, Uriah, Shauna, and Marlene are in that class. I go to the locker room and change into a sports bra and shorts like every other girl and walk out to the gym. We had to run 5 laps. Oh no. I ran 1 and collapsed. I started coughing a lot, but when I wiped my mouth all I saw was red. This wasn't good. I felt someone trying to talk to me, but I was to far gone. Then all was black.
