[Chapter 7]

*Nico's pov*
"Miss and mister, can you explain why are these men lying on the floor with bruises?" The police officer asked us.

"They tried to steal from us." I said.

"They followed two innocent teenagers, tried to steal a valuable jewel, and tried to make two more people join their gang that steals money." Rayna added.

  The police raised his eyebrow. "So they tried to steal from you, and you two made 4 men unconscious, broke 2 men's leg, and broke 5 men's arm all of whom are at least 5years older than you? Can you come to the police station with me? Your information would be used valuably to solve a theft happened yesterday. The culprit made 4 men unconscious, broke 2 men's leg, and broke 5 men's arm. Just like you two. It would only take a few hours."

  Now he thinks we committed a crime that we didn't commit and we have to be stuck in the police for hours. I envy Piper. She would have used her charmspeak to get out of this situation.

  A girl about 12 walking by eating an ice-cream saved our time. "Um... Mr. Magistratus? That man (she pointed to the person who asked us to join the gang) is the one who kicked Jessie's pet poodle last Thursday. I saw him near Jessie's hotel, too."

"Thank you Hannah. If you saw him near the crime scene, he might be the culprit. However, you two (meaning me and Reyna) should come to the police station anyway. We need to clarify this 'diamond incident'. It will only take 5 minutes from here, and telling me how this happened will take only a little."

  While following Mr. Magistratus, I heard Reyna mutter "That police is so stupid. How could you tell a person is guilty just because you are found at the crime scene?"

"Hi! My name is Hannah! What's your name?" The girl with an ice cream asked us.

"I'm Rose and this is Nick." Reyna lied.

"Did you really hit and kick and stab and do whatever violent to the gang?"

"Um..."

"If you did, you would get and award or medal or something. Jessie said that they were the most infamous group of people."

"Who's Jessie?" Reyna asked, switching the subject.

"She's the daughter of the owner of the hotel my family is staying. She is really fun. Her father loves her so much that he named the hotel Jessie's Hotel!"

"We're here!" Mr. Magistratus said.

  I have never been to a police station before, and I had forgotten that the technology had gotten better. There was a lot of machines going by itself, though I thought Leo would have made better things.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm officer Magistratus, currently working in the violence department."

"Hello Mr. Magistratus, are they lost?" Someone asked.

"No, Mrs. Lam. They are witnesses of a crime." He turned to us. "This is Mrs Lam, working in the lost/missing children department." He added:"She came here after her children became victims of a crime." He whispered.

  She looked quite familiar.

"Altheia? Is that you?" Mrs. Lam asked Hannah.

"Sorry mam, but I'm not Altheia. I'm Hannah."

"I think I know you children. Can we talk in private, Mr. Magistratus?"

  He rolled his eyes. "Okay, but only for five minutes." And he left the room.

   Aurum and Argentum growled. They barked. They attacked Mrs. Lam. We unsheathed our swords.

"No need to be afraid, children." Mrs. Lam extended her hands towards us. Her hands were lizard's claws.
