Reunited-A Reynico Fanfiction

[Chapter 21.5]

Hi! I'm back.
You must have noticed that this chapter is chapter 21 and a half. I'm not calling this a full chapter because 1) it's too short and 2) I have too many chapters.

It was quite late, considering the sun has set and the amusement park was closed for the night. So when they decided to go back to camp and Nico shadow-traveled them to Reyna's room, the harpies were flying and fluttering and flapping and- (you know what I mean) outside.

"I had fun." Reyna turned to face Nico.

Nico smiled. "I'm glad to hear that." He gently cupped Reyna's cheek and kissed her. He felt Reyna's arms wrap around his neck.

"So... What are we now?" Reyna asked as they slowly pulled away.

"How about a boyfriend and a girlfriend?" Nico asked quietly.

Reyna smiled at him. "Sounds perfect." She said.

Then they kissed again.

(Sorry. I'm not good at writing this kind of things.)

Nico expected his cabin to be dark when he arrived.

He was wrong. The lights were on.

Nico heard someone clearing her throat behind him. He slowly turned around.

Hazel was standing behind him, arms crossed. "Where have you been?" She demanded. "You skipped dinner again. You promised to eat!"

"Uh... I was with Reyna." Nico said.

"Reyna? Were you helping her with her work? I thought we finished it in the morning. Did she hide another stack and gave us only a small part of the work? No. Reyna's office was empty when I visited after lunch. Or..." Hazel gasped. "Nico, did you finally ask Reyna out? OhmygoshI'msoexcited! Where did you take her? What did you do? Did you kiss? SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOOOOU!!!"

Nico blushed bright red. "Hazel, calm down. You're going to wake everyone up. And how did you know?"

Hazel crushed Nico into a big hug. "So you finally got a girlfriend! My guess was riiiiiiiiiiiight! I knew you liked her from the bus! So, what did you do?"

Hazel's excitement was contagious. Soon, Nico was explaining very enthusiastically about what happened there, his hands moving wildly.

"-and then I arrived here and you started yelling at me." Nico finished and yawned.

"Oh. You must be tired. It's really late. Good night, Nico!" Hazel said as she climbed on her bed.

Nico couldn't sleep. Maybe it's because of the chocolate smoothie he and Reyna shared few hours ago. Maybe it's the harpies being too loud. Or maybe it was because the moon was too bright.

Nico wondered how long he had been lying on his bed. The glow from the glow-in-the-dark night sky had faded, which meant an hour or two had passed after they turned the lights off.

"Hazel?" Nico called softly from his bed.

There was no reply.

Nico quietly jumped down and waved a hand in front of Hazel's face.

Hazel stayed still.

'She's asleep.' Nico thought. He was about to climb back into his bed and try to sleep when he thought of a perfect way to make himself sleep.

Nico shadow-traveled to Reyna's room. Reyna was also sleeping.

He kissed Reyna's forehead and slid under the sheets next to Reyna, trying not to wake Reyna.

Few minutes later, he was fast asleep.

The fact that he had a chocolate smoothie didn't change. The harpies were still being loud, and the moon was still bright.

But Nico was asleep.
