Reunited-A Reynico Fanfiction

[Chapter 22]

  Reyna opened her eyes. She glanced at the clock. It read 5:37am. Strangely, she didn't have any nightmares. (If she had one, she didn't remember it.)

  Thinking that getting up early wouldn't harm anything, Reyna tried to get up but found out that something was preventing her from standing up. She turned her head to find a bed invader-Nico.

  Reyna shifted so that she was facing him. "When did you get here?" She whispered to his sleeping form. Of course, he didn't reply. Reyna started tracing Nico's face with her finger.

  Nico mumbled something softly and turned his head around. Some hair fell on his face in the process.

'Cute'

  Reyna moved his hair that were covering his eye out of his face. It fell back on his face. She moved them again. It fell back again. "Your hair is as stubborn as you." She mumbled. Reyna thought about giving him a haircut while he's asleep. Then she remembered that she couldn't get up.

  Reyna decided that sleeping more wouldn't harm anything either. She had woken up early. Plus, the alarm clock would prevent her from being late to breakfast. Reyna closed her eyes and...

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

... the alarm clock beeped.

Reyna groaned. 'How can an hour pass when I just closed my eyes?' She reached out to the alarm clock and the beeping. "Good morning, Nico." She said, remembering the fact that he was next to her. He was still asleep.

"Nico." She gently shook him.

"Um, I- uh... Bye!" Nico quickly disappeared.

  Reyna rolled her eyes and jumped out of bed. 'Did he seriously came here without thinking that I will see him?' Reyna shook her head. 'Boys are just boys.' She thought.

  Leo was having a good day so far. He didn't burn anything when his siblings woke him up. He haven't bumped into Drew or Clarisse, who were trying to get revenge on him. And Calypso kissed him during lunch. He was happily whistling on his way back to bunker 9 when he heard a roar.

  He quickly pulled a hammer (it looked quite like Thor's. Leo is a big fan of the Avengers) from his tool belt and looked around.

  The roar belonged to a giant hydra. There were a few other monsters alongside it.

  The rest of the seven, Calypso, Reyna, and Nico soon arrived with lots of other demigods.

  They charged. There were quite a lot of other monsters, but since there were a lot of people from both camps, they quickly turned into golden dust with no dead demigods.

Leo scooped some golden dust with a test tube.

"What is that for?" Calypso asked.

"Monster dust is golden." He replied. "I wonder if I could turn them into gold."

  Calypso chuckled. "Then let's go experiment, my alchemist.

  On their way back to bunker 9 (again), Leo saw Nico dragging a protesting, limping Reyna to the infirmary.

"I don't need your help. I can walk by by myself. Besides, it's only a small cut. I don't-"

"It's not a small cut. It's like 30 centimeters long!"

"Yeah, but I'm fine."

  Then they heard Nico gasp. "Reyna, your wound is infected by poison! How the Hades -sorry father- did you walk? Don't you know that poison infection is dangerous? It can lead to amnesia or headaches or you might not be able to use your leg!"
