****

(Autumn's POV)

After Luke and I went back to the cave Codie jumped up a tree trying to chase something.

"What you doing buddy?" I asked smiling at him.

"Hey, whats that over there?" Luke asked pointing off in the distance by some trees.

"What?" I asked looking where he was pointing. It was black and looked like a wall.

"Wanna go check it out?" He asked.

"Course. Do you not know me?" I asked jokingly. Luke took my hand and we ran for the mysterious building. Codie ran ahead, because he was ten times faster then us, but we weren't far behind. I jumped over a root that stuck out of the ground and when doing that, Luke tripped and pulled me down.

"Oomph!" Luke mumbled as I fell on top of him.

"Sorry." I muttered got up. I dusted my pants off and looked at Luke who was apparently stuck.

"Need help?" I asked. His legs were stuck under a tree branch and he was wedged in between 2 sticks.

"No. I've got this." He said..

"Alright good luck." I said leaning against a tree and watched him. He was trying to push his way out, and then pulling. Push, pull, push, pull. He didn't move. I sank to the bottom of the tree and sighed. Luke sat still once again and I herd him sigh in frustration.

"You sure you don't need help?" I asked smiling. He looked at me.

"Please?" He asked. I laughed and got up. He let out his hand for me, and I set mine in his. I pulled his arm but he didn't move.

"Huh, you are really wedged in there." I pulled one last time before falling on my butt.

"Yeah. What do we do?" Luke asked sighing.

"I dunno. We could cut off your legs-" I started. Luke's head whipped in my direction.

"Hell no! I need my legs. And even if you do, I will bleed to death." Luke exclaimed.

"Alright okay. Then, what can we- wait!" I jumped up and ran into the forest. I stopped by a log and saw exactly what I needed, vines. I took 7 and headed back for Luke. When I arrived, his head was rested on a large branch. I stared at him for a moment. Then continued with my plan.

"Okay. Luke? Tie these to your arms and hold on to these." He lifted his head and nodded.

"Alright. And are these strong enough?" He asked.

"I have no idea actually." I chuckled and handed the strings to him.

"On the count of three, I was you to try and push yourself out." I said wrapping the vines around my hands for a better grip.

"Three, two, one, GO!" I tugged on the vines as much as I could. I could see the vines breaking a little but, they still stayed strong. Luke was almost out before the vines snapped. It sent me flying back into a tree. My vision blurred as my head throbbed. I blinked rapidly until I could see again. Luke was pushing himself out and he came to me.

"I'm alright," I said dazed. He sat down beside me and we sat for at least 5 minutes.

"You wanna still explore?" He asked smirking.

"Course. A mystery cabin. Who knows what'll be inside." I pushed myself off the ground and walked towards the cabin where Codie was at. Luke came up beside me and took my hand in his. We kept walking until we were face to face with the rotting wood cabin. I stared at it. It was dark oak, rotten and old wood. There was a door, but it wasn't on both its hinges. Same with the outside walls, it was rotten. A cockroach came out from under the bottom of it and I jumped back a little.

"Wanna go inside?" Luke asked me.

"Definitely." I said. I broke free from Luke's grip, and headed for the rotten door. I took a careful step on the also rotten wood steps. The door made a loud creak causing it to fall on the ground. Luke laughed at me.

"Whoops." I shrugged and entered the rotten cabin. The ceilings were low, and right to the tip of my head. A small metal cot with a dirty mattress on top. There was a small kitchen set, a rusty stove, a rusty sink and a rusty fridge. It was small, but cozy- minus the rust and rotten wood- its was a nice cabin. A dresser was in the back left corner with something shimmering from the broken wood board. I carefully stepped along the rotten floor and it made it to the dresser. It was a necklace. A emerald stone, on a chain.

"Wow, who would leave this?" I handed it to Luke and saw a picture frame. Well, a frame filled with dust. I licked my thumb and cleaned the picture part. It was of a young woman, around 25 and a man around 28. They looked happy, I wonder where they are now. Still here? Living happily at home? Only god knows.

"I-I know th-those people." Luke said from behind me.

"Y-You do?" I asked shakily. He nodded.

"They were my moms best friends. They went to their island cabin, and never came back. This was their cabin." Luke's hand started shaking and his voice trembled. I held his hand and stared at the photo.

"We will get out of here." Luke said exiting the cabin. I felt sadness overcome me. Depression was winning this battle. I knew we would never get out of here. I exited the rotting cabin and collapsed to the ground in a heap of tears. I've never been depressed in my life, I've herd of it, I've known people who are depressed, but I never thought I would become depressed. I tried suicide, but Luke saved me. I felt like nothing. I have nothing holding me to this earth. Luke was the only one there for me now. He's obviously sure we aren't getting out of here. Were gonna die here. I don't know how much I can stand anymore.
