A/N: want another cliffhanger?
****
(Autumn's POV)

In front of me was the most beautiful thing in the world. Well, the best of what we had here at least. I covered my mouth with my hands and Luke engulfed in a hug.

"Do you like it?" He repeated. I nodded in his chest.

"It's wonderful." I said smiling. I looked back at it, amazed. I couldn't believe that Luke did this. It was truly beautiful. A long birch trunk was laying down, with a small groove in the middle. The log was wide, and inside the groove, two leaves across sat from each other. Sitting atop of the leaves, were various types of fruit. Slices of apples, pineapple rings, couple blueberries, mango slices, and some fish chunks. A colourful flower was wedged into a small hole in the middle. The basket I made for water was there too, beside the flower and it was full. The log also had two grooves on the opposite side of the eating area, I guess our seats. Luke grabbed my hand and gently pulled me towards the log. I smiled and gladly sat down in the grooves he has made.

"How?" Is all I asked. Luke smiled cockily.

"Well, while you were gone, I carved this with an arrowhead. The fruit were already collected, I found this nice flower, the leaves came with the fruit and... The basket, you made." Luke explained with a smile. I was speechless. I can't believe he did all this for us. He could tell my expression, and he chuckled.

"Speechless huh?" He chuckled. I nodded slowly. "Well, what are you waiting for? Dig in." I couldn't ruin something this perfect. Luke chuckled and took a bite of a mango. I picked up a pineapple ring and took a bite. It was sweet, and tangy. I kept eating. Luke and I made small talk during it all, then a serious topic came up.

"Luke...do you think were ever going to get out of here?" I asked taking a sip from the basket.

"Of course, Autumn. We have two ways of communication." Luke said. I nodded.

"But, we haven't seen a plane or ship since the last time." I said with a sigh. Luke shook his head.

"I have. But this was before the signs. I saw a couple, but hey never came close to the island." Luke said biting into a chunk of fish.

"Good thing you didn't tell me." I said with a sad smile. "I didn't want the disappointment."

"The fires and the rocks are a great way of showing people the are here." Luke exclaimed. I nodded again but shrugged.

"Do you think their looking for us?" I whispered.

"Yes. They are. If a ship sinks, do you think people with search for the lost or dead passengers?" Luke asked I shook my head.

"Luke, we've been on this island for six months. They've probably figured were dead by now." I exclaimed, frustrated. Not with Luke, but with the world.

"The government probably recovered the ship, and they probably recovered all the bodies. They knew how many people were on that cruise ship. 3 of us are missing, they're looking. Trust me." Luke said eating some blueberries.

"How do you know?" I asked with a sigh.

"Because Autumn. I did a report for school on it last year. They searched for a couple stranded passengers for 5 years. We don't even know how the boat sank. The ships' remains were recovered and every single body was found and a funeral was held. They know were missing, and they are most likely looking for us." Luke explained. He did have a point.

"How far did we exactly drift out? Where did the boat even sink?! If we drifted or swam far out, they will never think to look on a deserted island far away from the crash sight." We are never getting out of here, I think.

"Can we drip the topic? I have another surprise!" Luke pleaded. I nodded in defeat. He was dead certain that we were getting out of here, one way or another.

"Oh no." I said jokingly. Luke rolled his eyes. I reached for another piece of fruit, but my hand just touched leaf. I looked down, and realized I didn't notice that I ate all my food.

"First, to the water fall." Luke said. We haven't been there since- a while. I nodded and quickly got off of the log. He quickly grabbed my hand, and we ran towards the pond. It was hard to keep up with Luke, considering his long legs and fast pace was double mine. He kept a tight grip on my hand anyways. Finally, after a while of stumbling, running and falling, we reached the pond. Luke stopped running and slowly let me catch up. He stood at the edge of the water and I stood beside him. He turned his head and smiled. Again, he took my hand in his tight grip. He took a step and fell into the water, pulling me with him. I took a quick grasp before sinking in the water beside Luke. His weight dragged me down. He swam with his hand in mine, and again I struggled to keep up with his pace. My lung started to burn and I pulled against Luke's hand. My eyes were open, and so were his. He stopped, turned and looked at me. I pointed to surface and he shook his head. I pushed myself off the sandy bottom, but he pulled on my hand, bringing me down. Is he trying to drown me?! My lungs screamed for air. Luke pulled me to him and crashed his lips against mine. My lungs settled. We shared air. Luke smiled and started swimming. I followed behind slowly as I saw water bubbles rushing from the surface, the bottom of the waterfall. I mentally sighed in relief. Luke trudged through the water and surfaced. I wasn't so quick to follow. His arm snaked around my waist, sending shivers up my spine. He pulled me out of the water and I gasped a big breath of the cool air. We were behind the water fall. I looked to the water, it was like a wall that you didn't dare pass. He flipped his hair to the side and smiled at me once again.

"What?" I asked chuckling. Luke just pulled me along with him.

"I found something amazing." Luke smiled and continued to pull me along. The waterfall was wider than I thought.

"Luke, what did you find?" I asked finally.

"Quiet and I'll show you." He said with a breath. I rolled my eyes and continued to be pulled through the water beside him. I never really knew how deep this pond was, and I'll never know. The water started getting colder as we stayed in there longer. I started to shiver.

"L-Luke? When are we getting out?" I asked desperately.

"Now." Luke said. The water wall ended and on the other side was something different, not the pond we knew, something different. My eyebrows furrowed and Luke smiled. We made our way towards the exit, and once we did, everything was different. It was jungle, but not the same. I looked around, blue skies, green plants, colourful fruit, but in the distance, I saw an animal. A small deer. I smiled as Luke pulled me from the water. Luke hoisted himself out and I struggled. He grabbed me by under the arms and helped me out. Once on solid ground, I actually got to look around. It looked almost the same, but the energy was different. It felt full. I heard birds chirping and animals making their sounds.

"I found this place and I thought it was amazing." Luke said and started water inside. I jogged to catch up with him, and he stopped in front of a bush. I looked at him in confusion and he smirked. He pushed the bush aside and stepped inside. Asshole, making me do this. I pushed the bush back and stepped inside, well, fell inside. Luke helped me too my feet and I gasped in surprise. Codie was sitting beside a red fox. It looked so small compared to Codie, but not as small as the baby foxes that came running out beside another large fox. I smiled. Surprisingly, they are very friendly.

"They didn't like Codie at first, but they played for a while and they got on good terms. I found the fruit and fish here." Luke said with a smile.

"I-" I had no words. Best. Date. Ever.
