Jim Kanami

Y/N pushed open the uber door and stepped outside. A huge smile spread across her face as she realised they definitely didn't choose the location wrong.

The building was tall and build from grey-brown bricks that had been battered over the years and the dark grey slate roof hung over the edges of the walls slightly. Not to mention the fact that the building was growing a nice stack of green vines across it.

Y/N smiled and laughed at herself for being so worried as she shut the door behind her. Her eyes caught a glimpse of Andy across the field, seeming to be in the middle of an important conversation with a short and rather round little man. His hair was almost like an island, Y/N thought, grey tuffs of hair sticking out around a bald patch at the crown of his head.

Ignoring the apparent importance of the conversation, she made her way across the field to introduce herself. As she grew closer to Andy and the little man, she thought that she recognised him from somewhere. But from where? It was only until she was close enough to them to hear the conversation that she realised who the little man was.

Jim Kanami. The one and only. As popular and recognised Kanami was- it wasn't a pleasant experience to see him standing on the set of her new movie. Y/N froze for a split second, all the names of the various celebrities who's careers were ruined by his articles. Faked scandals, a photo taken without permission that ruined their image and leaked private information from trusted friends who had been warped and turned into releasing it.

'Nobody has even heard from Wyatt Oleff in years, after what Kanami did..', Y/N thought to herself. She took a breath and took the last few steps to stand next to Andy, forcing a smile.

"Hey Andy, this place looks great!" she told him, welcoming the smile that was returned to her. She looked over at Kanami, or looked down at Kanami- seeing as he was practically half her height. It was all part of his image though, a short, round and partially bald man who knows all the gossip. "I don't think we've met, I'm Y/N, and you are...?" she continued.

The balding man looked up and grinned, showing off that Hollywood smile that was at the top of all of his articles, he extended his hand, "Jim Kanami. And you don't need to introduce yourself, darlin', I know exactly who you are. And you're just as gorgeous as on the silver screen." He gave a smirk, which sent uncomfortable chills down Y/N's spine.

The girl shrugged it off, giving a modest smile, "Oh thank you, that's so nice of you to say. So what brings you here?"

"I just heard about this project, this huge project, and I was near-by so I figured I'd drop by and wish you all good luck." The man, who could probably lay off the doughnuts, readjusted his bow tie. He was lying, they all knew that, Kanami was based out in Los Angeles and never left. He'd come here on purpose. There was something he wanted, some big headline he was hunting for.

"Speaking of the project," he continued, "I heard that a certain Noah Schnapp had been cast." He placed his hands on his wide hips, almost casually. Y/N felt herself tense up, and Andy tense up next to her. They weren't planning on confirming the rumours yet, and especially not to a man like Kanami.

Andy cleared his throat and shook his head a little, looking down at Y/N almost as though pretending to be confused, "Noah Schnapp? Oh god no, no, he uhm, he was considered for the role but I'm certain that he wasn't cast. I don't think he'd be able to pull off the ro-" Andy was cut off as a black car pulled up the set, parking behind the closed catering van.

Speaking of the devil. A bubbly, smiling and very excited Noah Schnapp leaped out of the car before the driver could even turn the engine off. His eyes lit up as he spotted the catering van's logo, "Cathy's Catering", he pointed at the van and tried to pass his exitment off to the driver. The driver just got back into the car, but that didn't faze Noah.

"Oh my god! They do the best sandwiches! The perfect balance between spicy, sweet, meaty and cheesy!" He exclaimed.

Y/N looked back at Kanami, a large, smug, smirk spreading across his face. Crap.

"Well I guess he's just here for the food then, if he's not a member of the cast" The man said, knowing he had all the information he needed.

This was going to be a long few months.
