Chapter 19🎥

The Ravine

A few weeks into production, they had gotten a good chunk of the film done. Y/N and Noah had been talking a lot, and when they weren't filming they were hanging out in the hotel rooms or in the green room. The whole group had gone out for ice-cream together a few times and they were all having a fun time in Ireland. 

Y/N was sitting in the sun, reading through the script with Andy and making notes about the lighting and continuation for the scene they were about to film. Jaeden's character was about to be killed off. This would be goodbye but Jaeden was having so much fun on set that he decided to stick around even after he'd filmed all of his scenes. The producers kicked off about not wanting him jut hanging about on set but Y/N and Andy had said that he'd be helping behind the scenes and that he wouldnt just be hanging about.

After they'd said that, they said Jaeden was welcome to stay. Y/N walked onto set which was built to look like the inside of a ravine, but it was only about three metres tall. There was a green screen above that to make it look taller, which would be done in post-production.

Jaeden walked onto set, dressed in a pair of shorts which were made to look life leaves. In the book, when the characters get summoned to the Greyland to survive in for a day- they are naked. Obviously that wouldn't be practical for film so they made bare-minimal clothing that looked like they were made from natural substances. Jaeden smiled at Y/N as he walked in and waved over at the group of extras who were dressed up to look like the Sidhe, they were covered in golden sparkly paint and dressed in silver gowns and shirts. There was one girl who had a small speaking part and Y/N could tell she thought very highly of herself for that.

Andy turned to the cast and crew to announce that this was Jaeden's last scene for the movie and then the whole room clapped for him. Jaeden smiled at them all. 

A few minutes later they were beginning to shoot the scene, it took a few takes because they had to change things around and take it from many angles. Y/N watched as the girl with the one line grabbed Jaeden's arm, "I've got him! I've got the theif!" 

Y/N watched as the extras, or the Sidhe, emerged from the rocks and began to close in on Jaeden who was doing a good job at looking horrified and in pain and the girl tightened the grip on his arm. Jaeden let out a cry and then Andy called cut.

They watched over the few takes and decided that it was pretty perfect. Once again, Jaeden was clapped for but he couldn't be celebrated for long since they had to move on with other scenes.

Y/N rushed over to Jaeden and gave him a hug, smiling, "You were great!" Jaeden smiled and hugged her back.

"Thanks, it wasn't that big of a deal really. I'm just mad he had to die so soon." Jaeden laughed and pulled away from the hug.

Y/N walked Jaeden back to his trailer where he could get changed and saw Noah waiting outside of his trailer next door.

"Hey Y/N! I was wondering when you'd get back here." Noah smiled and jumped down from the steps leading to the ground. He stepped closer to her.

"Yeah I was just dropping Jaeden back, he just filmed his last scene." Y/N told him and smiled back at him.

"Oh that's cool! I can't believe I missed it. Anyways, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to hang out later?" Noah asked her and she immediately nodded in response.

"Yeah, of course. I've just got a few more scenes to help with and then I'm free. Where do you want to go?" Y/N responded.

"Just meet me here when you're done." Noah smiled softly and walked off back into his trailer to get ready for whatever he was doing. Y/N laughed at his randomness and then headed back to set to watch Will in his next scene. Will had been hanging around with those athletic boys who played 'The Knights'. They weren't really knights but they liked to think they were. And Y/N figured they'd be filming this scene for a while because it was a heavy CGI-assisted scene so they needed to make sure everyone was standing and moving to the right places. 

Y/N watched as the actors reacted and screamed in horror at absolutely nothing. There would be something there later, after post-production but right now they were just screaming at a metal ball at the end of a stick and Y/N found it quite funny.

After they'd wrapped on that scene and said goodbye to one of the 'Knights' who got killed off, Y/N walked back to Noah's trailer to meet him. She saw his standing in a tuxedo, the same tuxedo with a pasta stain on it from a few weeks ago and she smiled, slightly confused.

"So uhm? Where are we going again?" Y/N asked as he smiled at her and played with his hands nervously.

"Well, I was kind of hoping that... you'd want to maybe... go on a date?" Noah asked.

Y/N froze, looking at him, that was a surprise.
