Hello, again

After Noah had cleaned up and they'd shared the large glass of strawberry milkshake- they finally stood up to go over to pay.

"I'll pay- I asked you to come with me." Noah offered, smiling at her. Y/N laughed and shook her head, playfully nudging him.

"Not a chance, we can split it." Y/N told him, and they did.

As they were walking out of the restaurant, hand in hand, a familiar face emerged from his black automobile. Jim Kanami. Y/N realised who it was the moment her eyes landed on that bald patch in the middle of the short man's head- quickly letting go of Noah's hand and stepping away from him a little.

The man turned around and spotted the two of them, a grin spreading across his un-shaven face. He offered them a wave, which was not returned and stepped his way over to them both.

"What a surprise to see you two here, again. You know, I was just passing by when I thought I'd grab some food." The man lied, he was always passing by  as if he never did anything intentionally. All of his gossip was discovered from just passing by.

Noah caught on to the man a little late, as if he'd been in his own little world for the past few seconds. Y/N did her best to force a smile at the despicable man, trying her best not to come across as rude or any particular way that he could use against her. "Oh we were thinking the same thing, we just came to grab some food."

Jim Kanami looked at the both of them, staring back at him with pretend smiles, this man wasn't stupid. A jerk, yes but not stupid. "Just came to get food? Together? Just the two of you?"

Before Noah could open his mouth and say something they couldn't cover- Y/N spoke up instead, "Just the two of us? Of course not, no. The whole cast came to grab food but we had a bit of a spillage to help clear up." Y/N laughed and pointed at the old orange stain on Noah's shirt from a few weeks ago. "Noah's so clumsy sometimes, aren't you?" Y/N looked at Noah, hoping that he'd just play along.

"Oh, yeah, totally- so clumsy." Noah laughed and nodded, "Well we'd better get back to the car-" Noah looked around as if he was looking for something, "Now, where did Andy say he'd park?" Noah asked looking at Y/N.

Y/N shrugged a little and looked around too before turning back to Jim Kanami, giving him a little wave, "See you around, nice to see you again!" Y/N told him before walking off into the car park with Noah, the orange-tinted streetlights brightening the night for them. Once they'd walked off far enough, where they thought Jim couldn't see them anymore- they spoke.

"That was a close one." Noah told her, chuckling out of relief. Y/N smiled and laughed, nodding. He took her hand into hers again and swung their hands about. "So, tonight was fun. I'll take you somewhere better for the next date though."

Y/N looked up at him, smiling a little, "The next one?" Noah nodded and smiled back at her.

"Yeah, for sure. On one condition though." Noah said, dramatically stopping his walking and facing her. Y/N looked up at him, waiting to hear his condition. "You uh, be my girlfriend?" Noah asked awkwardly, smiling softly.

Y/N couldn't fight the huge smile spreading across her face, her cheeks reddening up. She nodded and giggled, "Yeah, I'd love that." Y/N said, laughing softly and Noah pulled her into a warm hug. Y/N loved how warm he was, and even though it was a cold night- it felt like she was sitting by a fire. Noah laughed happily and swayed her around, over the moon with joy.

Noah pulled away from the hug and smiled at her, "One other thing, though." Y/N nodded and looked up at him.

"Yeah? Anything." She smiled softly at him, still not quite believing it.

"They can never know. The press, the fans. Not yet anyway." Noah asked her as he held her hands. Y/N smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, of course." She replied, thinking it seemed like an easy enough ask. She herself didn't really want anyone to know about them either, she wanted to prepare herself for the hate she would get and once she was ready- she was sure they'd be able to tell them. Noah smiled and pulled her back into another hug, kissing the top of her head as he did so.

Although, across the car park, in a black automobile- sat Jim Kanami. He hadn't gone to get food, he never had the intention of getting food. But a tip off from an unsuspected person had convinced him to come to the restaurant. This gossip was too good to pass up. Article shares, likes, reads and comments popped up in his mind. It was a gold-mine. His eyes followed Noah and Y/N across the car park and waited for the perfect moment. The moment where Noah pulled her into a hug.

CLICK! Jim's camera flashed, capturing the moment in perfect quality. A smirk grew on his face.

His phone buzzed, someone was calling him. His tip-off. He answered the phone, putting it up against his ear as his beady eyes watched Noah and Y/N walk off together, holding hands.

A young voice echoed from the other side of the phone, "You got it?"

"Yes," Jim answered, "I've got it."
