Suspects
The thought that somebody had sold her out to Jim Kanami had Y/N sitting in her trailer visibly shaking for a few hours. She tried to distract herself from the thought by watching a few movies and eating a load of popcorn and candy but the thought still stuck with her. She needed to talk to someone about it- she just couldn't decide who. Her agent? No, Miss Hughes was already busy trying to get lawyers involved and would probably have an aneurysm or something if Y/N told her this bit of information. She could probably tell Andy, but he was pretty busy with the movie and Y/N wasn't exactly friends-friends with him, they just kind of worked together.
Then the answer jumped at her as he trailer door opened. She knew exactly who to tell, since the information was pretty relevant to him too. Noah walked into Y/N's trailer, holding a bag of popcorn and a few bag of gummy sweets- he stopped when he saw the empty bags of sweets and spilled popcorn already next to Y/N. He laughed and smiled, walking in and closing the door behind him.
"Looks like you've already got comfort food. I guess this can just be extra then." He joked as he sat down besides her, placing the bags on the table. "Oh I love this movie, this is the one with the giant jellyfish and that dog, right?" Noah asked, putting an arm loosely around Y/N.
"Yeah, that's the one." Y/N responded, immediately feeling comforted by Noah being there, but she couldn't deal with them both acting like nothing had happened. And Y/N needed to tell someone about the thought she had, so the comfortable silence didn't last for long. "Look, Noah, I've been thinking and.. I'm pretty sure someone sold us out. I mean, how could he just coincidentally show up at the same restaurant as us?"
Noah thought about it for a few moments, squinting as he thought about it. Part of Y/N thought he'd been thinking about the same thing, which would probably make sense. She waited for a response and got one, as he gave a small nod.
"Yeah, I think someone did too. But who would do that?" Noah asked her as he sat up a little, ditching the slouch he'd been sat in. Y/N shrugged and looked back at him.
"I don't know, who did you tell about the date?" Y/N asked, figuring that the question would narrow down the possible suspects. Noah paused as he counted on his fingers the names of who he had told. Y/N watched the number increase and increase before Noah recited back the names of who he'd told.
"My makeup artist, Will, Jaeden, Lilia, Charli, Andy, obviously the driver uhm..." Noah thought a little more. Y/N felt a pang in her stomach, that was enough people to keep them searching for the traitor for weeks already- yet there was more? "I mentioned it to Sadie, I guess the few extras may have overheard, I text Millie about it- Finn about it, my mom, my dad, my sister, my dog, my chaperone, grandma, grandpa..."
Y/N sighed and fought the urge to face palm in front of him, it was cute how excited he must have been but, seriously Noah? Y/N figured she should probably respond to him.
"Well that's a lot to go on. How many of those knew the restaurant we were going to?" Y/N asked him, praying to God that this list would be smaller.
"Oh, not many, my makeup artist, Will, Jaeden, Charli, Sadie, the driver and my chaperone." Noah responded. Good, that did narrow it down.
Now the investigation could begin. Despite this being a pretty serious situation, Y/N couldn't help but feel excited over it, she felt like she was in a crime drama or something like that.
They both decided that Noah's chaperone was the least likely, she was super nice and was kind of in charge of looking after Noah's safety and stuff so it would kind of go against her job to sell him out to Jim Kanami. Besides that, she could barely remember Y/N's name half of the time.
The next person Noah and Y/N discussed was Noah's makeup artist, and that was a pretty short conversation too. Noah hadn't done anything to annoy her, nor had Y/N. Also, she was getting paid enough. She wouldn't need any money from Jim Kanami, since she was already dressed in head to toe Gucci.
The driver who had driven them to the restaurant definitely knew who Y/N and Noah were, and he could probably tell they were going on a date. And the low wages that those drivers get paid could be enough to tempt them into handing over information to people like Jim Kanami. However, the driver hadn't been around on set and wouldn't be able to say any of the other stuff Jim had said, to be true.
In all honesty, Y/N would have prefered for the traitor to be a makeup artist, an extra or even the driver rather than who they'd narrowed the suspect list down to. Because the suspects were all of her close friends.
Lilia, Will, Jaeden or Charli had sold them out- as it seemed.
But who?
