Chapter 6: Decorations Part 2

   Natsu grinned, seeing the hundreds of candles that had to be lit. "I'm all fired up!"

   Rolling her eyes, Lucy heaved one of the many boxes of candles onto a nearby table. "I still don't see why we have to decorate now. I mean, the auction isn't for three days!" 

   "So?" Natsu sat on top of the table, lighting the matches and eating the fire that emitted from them.

   "It doesn't make sense why we have to light the candles when we need them later on!" she heaved another box onto the table, "Besides they'd burn out before tomorrow came anyways-"

   "Sooo," a voice hovered over them, "How's the lighting coming?"

   "Hey, Mira!" Natsu's grin got even wider, even though the white haired mage was in her 'Satan Soul' mode.

   "I-is that really necessary?" Lucy asked caustiously.

   Mira only smiled, before adding, "It doesn't matter when the candles are lit, the wax was enchanted so that it wouldn't burn off."

   "Oh," Lucy mumbled as dropped the last box on the table.

   "I want you to line the candles along the walls and counter top and tables. Then after that, do the fairy lights!"

   "U-uh..." 

   "And- hey! Gajeel, what do you think you're-" and she flew off.

   'That's Mira for you,' Natsu thought (for once) as he continued sucking in the fire from the matches.

   "Natsu, quick snacking and your thing!" Lucy tugged the match box out of his hands.

   "Alright, I'm all fired up now!"

   They lined up all the candles in place and out of harm's way. Surprisingly, it didn't take as long as expected, but long enough. 

   "Now!" Lucy yelled as she ran to about fifty feet away from Natsu.

   "Fire Dragon's ROAR!" he blew fire at the candles, lighting them all in a cinch.

   Once sure that it was all clear, Lucy returned to his side. "Well, that was easy."

   "Of course it was!" Natsu grinned, "It was your idea!"

   "Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Lucy asked, eyebrows raised.

   "I don't know," he smiled, "All I know is that we work better together!" Natsu caught a flicker of pink form across his best friend's cheeks. 'Is Lucy... blushing?' he waved the thought off, 'Naw, it's probably just from the cold weather...'

   "How come they get the easy job?" Gray grumbled. Making ice sculptures would usually be easy, if Juvia was back to normal. 

    "Gray?" Juvia waved a hand in front his face, "Stop staring at lov-Lucy and Natsu! Juvia wants to get this done so she can go get dinner! It's almost five now!"

   "Y-yeah," he answered, breaking his gaze away from his friends. 'Seriously? No Gray-sama or love-rival?' he shook his head slightly, 'What's up with her? She's been avoiding me ever since that fight with Lyon!'

   "Juvia thinks we should do sculptures of the guild's emblem and line them up around the hall..." she suggested.

   "Oh, uh..."
