A Navy Seal Marksman is recruited by Rainbow after being recommended by both Blackbeard and Valkyrie. He is one of the best operators in his field and can rival some snipers in his accuracy.
Mark's POV 22:47 Day 68 Hereford Base UK I groaned as I wiped the sweat off my forehead, "alright test it" Nienke nodded and activated her replicator "Replicating!" I sighed as I started the stop watch, the target is 19 seconds. I watched her replicator run around the workshop several times before it disappeared and I clicked stop on the watch, "you ready to see if we finally got it to the target?" She nodded tiredly as I looked down at the stopwatch "21.75 seconds, you did it." she smiled "No, we did it. You did just as much work as I did" I banged my head several times "only took 2 fucking months!" She patted my shoulder "thanks again, you could've quit after the first month" I waved her off "I told you I'd help you, I'm a man of my word" she smiled "let's go get some food and alcohol and sleep for a year" I nodded "Amen" she nodded as we walked down the hallway. I asked "How did I know this fucking project was gonna fuck itself several times?" She looked at me "because that's every project ever? Nothing ever goes according to plan" I sighed dramatically "fucking Murphy, everytime" she cocked an eyebrow causing me to reply "Murphy is the US Military word for "If it can go wrong it will go wrong" and everytime he shows up everyone's mad" she nodded "then I know Murphy extremely well" I chuckled "So do I, trust me. We weren't planning on crashing a helicopter on the raid but we did" she laughed "weren't you the one who brought it up in the briefing before he raid?" I nodded "and everyone looked at me like "Dude what the fuck?"" she laughed as we walked into the mess hall and saw Mark in the line "hey Mark, wait up!" He turned and saw us "Holy shit you two are alive. We thought for sure you two were dead, we haven't seen you in a week" I chuckled as Nienke spoke "everything that could go wrong, did go wrong." He looked at me "how'd you handle it?" I shook my head as Nienke replied "He cried more than a few times, drank more coffee then should be humanly possible and looked like he was about to go crazy" he nodded and rested a hand on my shoulder "It happens to all of us" I just groaned as we got our food and headed to the table "So Mark why are you getting dinner so late?" He looked over "Just got back from a mission" I asked "everyone make it out?" He nodded "Alex got hit but he shrugged it off." Nienke spoke "As a scientist, I wonder what that man is made of" I chuckled "Nie he's Russian. He's made of Vodka, Adidas and fortitude" she sighed as Mark laughed "He's not lying" she looked over "Apparently fucking not" I laughed at the sudden outburst from the typically cool headed woman "Eat, it's starting to get to you." She sighed as she started eating and Mark looked at me "You two seem closer" I went to speak until Nienke cut me off "Yeah, that happens when you're stuck in a workshop together for 2 months" I looked over "You say that like you didn't enjoy the 2 months" she shifted her eyes to me "I did, I just didn't enjoy the fucking project" I shook my head with a smile as Mark chuckled "You two act like a married couple" I looked over "if I ever get married you better ask my wife why her standards dropped so far" we laughed as Nienke spoke "you're not that bad of a guy" I gave her a look ""That bad"? Wow Hear that Mark? I'm over here getting fucking blasted. What the fuck?" She chuckled as Mark fell out of his seat laughing as I spoke "Bro, it wasn't that funny." As Nienke stared at him as he sat up "It wasn't that, it was the fact that she looked like a deer in headlights after she complimented you" I sat down with a smile "that's gonna be on my mind for months now" she chuckled as Mark spoke "I gotta make a bet with Meghan" I cocked an eyebrow "About what?" He was caught of guard "Duh, uh, um..... nothing?" I focused solely on him "Mark, you're trying to bullshit a bullshitter. it's not gonna work,come clean" he chuckled "maybe later, alright I'm off for the dorm. I'm tired and it's late" I looked at my watch 11:09 "Shit it is getting late" Nienke looked over "I think I'm gonna go to sleep too" I stood "Trust me, I'm gonna sleep like a fuckin' log. Holler if you need anything alright?" She smiled "I will, are we working out tomorrow?" I nodded "same time as usual?" She replied "yeah, see you at 6" I gave a two finger salute before we headed in separate direction to our dorms. When I arrived, I saw mark sitting on his bed reading "what's the bet you've gotta make?" He looked up as I entered the bathroom "How long it takes you two to get together" I coughed launching toothpaste all over the mirror "What?!" He sighed "you've seen her figure, you're also her closest guy friend. If you two don't get together at some point I'll honestly be shocked" I shook my head "Why would she even go for me? She could have anyone she wants" he chuckled "you don't see the way she looks at you when you're laughing with the rest of us" I rolled my eyes "You're going crazy Mark, maybe you should take the leave next time Harry offers" he sighed "you'll see it, just wait" I took off my shirt, socks and boots "can't see something that doesn't exist" as I turned out the light and got ready to sleep. We were in the weight room as I spotted Nienke "you're getting better, you couldn't lift this much last week" she sighed "it doesn't feel like I'm getting anywhere" I replied "Put the bar up" she nodded as I helped her before walking around and crouching infront of her "Look at me" she met my eyes as I spoke "you're getting stronger, when I was in training one of instructors told me before hell week "you're about to go to war for the first time, and the enemy is all your fears, all your doubts and everyone who ever told you you can not do this. Keep your head down, keep moving forward, never quit and you'll be fine" keep that here" I said as I poked her forehead "and you'll be stronger than me one day, alright?" she nodded "thank you" I nodded with a small smile "now let's keep going, can't stop now" she leaned back as I walked around to spot her again. An hour later we were done and walking to the track when I heard over the PA "Coffin to Harry's office, I repeat Coffin to Harry's office" I sighed "So much for running, I'll meet you out there if I get the chance alright?" She nodded as I did a U-turn and headed to Harry's office. When I arrived, I flashed my ID as they motioned me through and I entered "Sir?" He looked up "Ah Mark, great timing. I want you to pick a team to provide security to a British ambassador in Israel." I quickly replied "Lion, Iana, Warden, Blitz and Kali for overwatch" Harry gave me a look "you're sure? You don't wanna think about it more?" I shook my head "No, those are who I want" he nodded and called the operators I asked for. I saw Nienke walk in wiping her forehead with a towel as I spoke "Hey Nei, turns out you're stuck with me for a while" she sighed "you're killin' me" I nodded as I turned to Harry "How long is this operation?" He tossed me a file as the others walked in I looked through the file "A week, huh? Fun times" I tuned back into the brief as Harry spoke "You'll be driving to meet the ambassador in 45 minutes, get your gear and talk amongst each other before you leave" I gave a nod as we walked out and headed to our dorms before going to the Armory. I looked at Lion "Hey Olivier, can you set up your drone so it only tags people with weapons?" He looked thoughtful "I can probably get it to detect the metal yeah, why?" I replied "Because you're going to be our pillar, it's gonna have a lot of civvies in the AO if we can cut it down to tagging just combatants it makes it more efficient" he nodded in understanding "you're a lot smarter than you look" I started "Than- wait a minute, what does that mean?" As he peeled off and entered his dorm. I sighed as I grabbed my Mk14 and M9 "Mark, I'll be gone for a week keep the room in order" he looked up as I walked out "o...Kay then" I moved through the halls towards the armory as Warden joined me "Hey Collinn, you ready to protect an HVT?" He replied "It is my speciality after all Chief" I nodded "Good, you have more experience with this than me so I'm calling on you to help plan everything" he nodded "I'll give the perfect plan" I sighed "the perfect plan only exists in the planning room, you give me the perfect plan I'll make the contingencies" he nodded with a small smile "I'm never unprepared" as we turned into the armory and saw Elias(blitz) already there before we walked to the main table I propped my mk14 on the table using the bipod and grabbed 8 mags and a box of 7.62 ammo and started loading the magazine.

I looked over as Nienke and Jaimini(Kali) walked in with their gear I waved as Kali nodded in acknowledgement as Nienke asked "where's Olivier?" I shrugged "probably in his room still" she nodded as she placed her gear down next to mine and sat on the table "So why'd you pick me? I can understand the others but why me?" I looked over "Who can disappear into a crowd and still hear everything with no danger to herself?" She looked down "me" I asked "who's been pushing herself to become a better operator by training with me?" She spoke again "Me" I patted her leg "come on, get ready." She hopped off the table and Elias spoke "trust he knows what he's doing, he hasn't been wrong yet and he wouldn't put you in danger" she nodded with a small smile "I know" as Olivier walked in "Sorry I'm late, I was modifying the sensor on my drone for Mark" I replied "thanks, makes the mission easier" he gave me a thumbs up "anything to make our job easier" as we checked our Sapi plates and got our slings and radios set up. I grabbed some smoke grenades and flashbangs as well as extra water pouches, "Everyone ready? We gotta get going soon, we've got 10 minutes to leave" I heard Olivier "I'm set" Nienke gave a nod as Jaimini gave a thumbs up as did Elias(blitz). Collinn spoke "I'm all set for this turkey shoot" I nodded "Collin, Elias and Olivier, pack up the guns while we bring the bags to the truck" Olivier groaned "of course I get the boring job" I chuckled "Don't worry Olivier, you'll have plenty of fun when we get to Israel you get to attend political meetings" he groaned more dramatically as we walked out to the SUV carrying two bags each to the car. As we walked back, I looked over "Hey Jaimini, what's it's like being PMC?" She looked over "tiring, constantly negotiating contracts and pushing my men to be better. I'm glad I did it though, I achieved my goal. Now I'm just ascending to the next level" I cocked an eyebrow "sounds like you want to be the best" she nodded "I didn't start my company to be second to anyone" I chuckled "we could've used you in the Teams" she mused "the great SEALs I've heard about your exploits, as has most of the world. Aren't special forces to be unknown?" I sighed "we were until we got the guy everyone had their sights on, simpler times" she asked "Do you ever regret becoming a SEAL?" I shook my head "No, I did in training but when I was on the field with my brothers and sisters there was nowhere else I'd rather be" Nienke piped up for the first time in a while "What about now? With Rainbow" I thought about it "I love my job, I just worry about getting complacent. I love it here at Rainbow with my new family so to answer the question no." She followed it up "what do you mean you worry about getting complacent?" I replied as we walked into the Armory "success breeds complacency, complacency get you killed. I've had a lot of success, never failed a mission with team 6. I worry that sooner or later I'll say the dangerous words "well this is how we always did it"" she nodded as Elias turned to me "the guns and ammo are packed, we're good to go" I smiled "thanks boys, alright we've got 2 minutes to get to the truck and leave to be on time. Show me what you got rainbow" they nodded at the challenge as I grabbed my gun case and turned running back to the truck. When I arrived I placed my gun case in the trunk of the SUV and walked around to the drivers door and started the engine. I turned to the door as I saw Olivier and Elias breathing heavily as Nienke, Collinn and Jaimini walked past them perfectly fine I called finishing with a small chuckle "come on boys, you're making us look bad" Olivier flipped me the bird as they place their weapons in the trunk and climbed into the car. Nienke rode shotgun, Olivier, Elias and Collin got the second row and Jaimini sat in the back on a special seat to keep an eye out behind us. I pulled out and headed for the gate showing my ID as they did a quick sweep for anything under the car before we pulled out and joined the highway heading to the government building where we'd meet with the ambassador and his security detail before we flew to Israel.
