The day after the summer solstice was a bright, sunny day. For both demigod camps in the United States, a Saturday would have seemed like a good day to rest. But for a specific pink haired daughter of Mars, it was the perfect day for training.
"You're going to have to try harder if you want to beat me." Aries said confidently to an exhausted Leo.
Leo set her spear down. "Fine. You win. Honestly, I don't know what I was expecting, training with a daughter of Mars."
Aries put her spear against a large tree and walked over to her training partner. "I think it's about the way you're holding the spear. You don't want such a tight grip on it."
"Got it." Leo replied. She wiped the sweat off her forehead. "Summer's going to be really hot."
"What's up, girls?" Sagittarius asked loudly as she made her way towards the two girls, Libra walking behind her.
"It's hot." Leo complained.
"Yesterday was way more hot." Libra said, tying her long blonde hair into a high ponytail. "It was the summer solstice, after all."
"True." Aries agreed. "Yesterday was fun though. We threw Aquarius into San Francisco Bay, remember?"
Libra chuckled. "Yes, I remember. Speaking of Aquarius, I haven't seen him or Gemini since breakfast. Where do you think they are?"
Just then, the tree besides the four girls shook, and a brown haired boy fell out of the tree. He sat on the ground for a minute, blinking and adjusting to the new environment.
"Good morning, Aquarius." Sagittarius said, laughing.
"Very funny, Sagittarius." Aquarius rolled his eyes. He took a twig out of his hair and brushed the dirt off his shirt.
"What were you doing up in that tree anyways?" Libra asked him.
Aquarius grumbled. "Gemini told me he had accidentally lost something at this tree and it probably got stuck in it, so he asked me to get it for him. Whatever it is, I still haven't found it yet."
"Well, we should probably go find Gemini before lunch starts." Leo said, picking her spear up. "Who knows if he's going to play another prank on us."
"Yeah, who knows." Aries said to herself before turning to the large tree to get her spear. The spear was nowhere to be seen. "Where's my spear?" She asked.
Suddenly, a blond haired boy rushed by holding Aries' spear.
"GEMINI!" Aries yelled, chasing after said blond haired boy.
"What's up, Aries?" Gemini taunted her. "Can't catch up?"
Aries growled and quickened her pace.
"Guys, no-" Libra said, trying to stop them.
"Let them be, Libra." Aquarius told her, watching as Aries chased after Gemini.
"We can't even make it through a day without this happening." Leo remarked.
Sagittarius swung her bow over her shoulder. "Let's follow them in case they get into any trouble."
And so they did. They found Aries wrestling Gemini to the ground with Aries' stolen spear lying on the grass next to them.
Libra walked up to them and pulled Aries off Gemini. "That's enough, you guys."
"Aw, I was going to grab the popcorn." Aquarius whispered to Sagittarius and Leo, making them both laugh.
"Come on, Aries, it was funny." Gemini said, handing Aries her spear back.
Aries glared at him. "You say that one more time and you'll find this spear going through your chest."
