There was a boy at Camp Jupiter who Gemini liked a lot.
Gemini knew not to stare. It would just make it more obvious. But he couldn't help it.
Libra noticed this, of course. She was the daughter of Venus after all.
"I know something's bothering you." She told Gemini.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"Because you're always spooning Nutella into your mouth when something's bothering you." Libra replied.
Gemini heaved a sigh of defeat and set his Nutella container now beside him. "What do you want to know?"
"I know you're in love." Libra said, nearly making Gemini jump.
"How-" He started.
Libra interrupted him. "I'm a daughter of Venus. I just know."
At that moment, Aquarius jumped down from the tree the two friends were sitting under.
"Hey guys." He said casually.
Gemini jumped. "How long were you in that tree?"
"Long enough to know that you probably have a Nutella addiction." Aquarius replied, picking up Gemini's jar of Nutella and examining it. "Unfortunately, I have a nut allergy, so I wouldn't know what it tasted like."
He handed the container back to Gemini, before adding, "I did hear what you two were talking about. I can be completely oblivious if you'd like."
"Thank you." Gemini said.
Aquarius joined the two of them under the tree. "You know, summer programs are being organised between the two demigod camps."
"That's awesome!" Libra exclaimed. "I've always wanted to know what New York looked like."
"That settles it then. We're all going." A voice from above said.
The three friends looked up to see Sagittarius swinging from a tree branch.
Gemini threw his hands in the air. "What is up with you guys and trees these days?"
Aries and Leo emerged from behind the tree as Sagittarius leaped down.
Sagittarius ignored Gemini's question, instead saying, "If we're going to Camp Half Blood for the summer, I'll need to find someone to take care of my sister."
"I'll ask my parents." Aquarius said, getting up. "I'll see you guys later."
He ran off towards New Rome. Gemini watched him from where he sat.
Libra looked around to make sure no one else was listening before whispering, "Gemini, you don't have a crush on Aquarius, do you?"
Gemini's cheeks turned red. "Is it that obvious?"
"For me, it is." Libra replied.
Gemini buried his face in his arms. "Oh, I wish I could just get over it."
Libra patted him on the back. "It'll be fine."
No it won't. A voice at the back of Gemini's head said. Nothing will get better. At least not when I'm here.
I thought you had left. Gemini told the voice.
I'm always with you, Griffin. Gemini tensed as the voice in his head said his real name. Soon, I will find the right time to control you, just like the old days.
I don't know why you're here, and I don't even know what you are, though I may have my suspicions. Gemini told the voice. Get out of my head! He hoped that the voice would obey him this time.
The voice in his head merely chuckled. That daughter of Venus knows nothing about your history. Our history. Why is it that you're friends with her again?
"For the last time, get out of my head!" Gemini shouted.
"What's wrong?" Libra asked.
Gemini didn't mean to say that out loud. "Er, nothing."
Huh, so you're just going to ignore me? The voice in Gemini's head said. Gemini ignored it.
"Well, it was a long day." Aries said, tossing her spear into the air and catching it. "Let's go get dinner."

Gemini remembered being in school. He remembered the once harmless pranks he used to play that everyone found funny.
That was until whatever was in his head started controlling him.
Gemini was standing in the principal's office as the principal looked down at him with her hawk-like eyes.
"60 students in this school have allergies." She explained. "60 students, now all in the hospital because of something you did."
"Please, ma'am, I know it was me, but I didn't mean it!" Gemini tried to explain. "I haven't been feeling like myself lately."
In his head, the voice of his twin laughed a long, cold laugh.
"One more serious misadventure like this, and we'll have you expelled, understood?" The principal asked.
Gemini didn't say anything as he fought back tears.
~~~
"Gemini, wake up!" Aquarius said, shaking him awake.
Gemini woke with a start.
"Are you alright?" Aquarius asked him. "You just started shaking all of a sudden, and started saying things."
Gemini buried his head into his pillow, hoping that Aquarius wouldn't see anything. "I'm fine."
Aquarius sat down on the edge of Gemini's bed. "It's pretty obvious that something's up."
Gemini looked up at him, tears rolling down his face. "Is it that obvious?"
"I've grown to sense when people are hurting." Aquarius sat next to Gemini. "Tell me what's wrong. It'll make you feel better."
"You won't get it." Gemini replied, sniffling. "You don't understand."
Aquarius put his arm around Gemini, making Gemini start to feel uncomfortable being so close to his crush. "Then make me understand. Tell me what's going on in your head. C'mon, I'm your friend, you can tell me."
If you dare say anything, I'll end you. The voice in Gemini's head warned him.
Gemini knew not to listen to the voice, but he kept his mouth shut for his own reasons.
The two boys sat on Gemini's bed, not saying a word to each other. Outside, the sound of frogs croaking could be heard, along with the sound of the wind blowing against the wind. It was so quiet that for once, the beautiful sounds of nature could be heard.
Aquarius looked down at Gemini, who hadn't said a word.
Finally, Aquarius got up and said, "We can talk about it later if you don't want to tell me anything."
He turned to leave, but Gemini stopped him before he could do anything else.
"Aquarius, wait!" He said.
Aquarius turned around. "Yes, Gemini?"
Tears rolled down Gemini's cheeks as he took a deep breath and said, "I think I'm going crazy."
