"Are there even any records in mythology about the zodiac signs?" Aquarius asked out loud.
"Oh for the sake of the gods, stop talking and keep a look out for monsters!" Aries chided him.
Despite the fact that it was summertime, Aries and Aquarius had a job to do. Well, more like Aries assigned a job for them to do.
Ever since the spartoi attack that happened around five days ago, the legionaries had been patrolling their tents to make sure that there weren't anymore monster attacks.
Aquarius sat down at the bottom of a tree and sighed. "Remind me why we're doing this again."
"We're not going to risk anything." Aries replied. "We're demigods, for Jupiter's sake, we're not going to be vulnerable to another attack."
"And legacies." Aquarius reminded her.
"And legacies." She added absentmindedly.
Aries joined Aquarius at the bottom of the tree, as the two of them sat beside each other, waiting for something to appear.
Aries turned to Aquarius. "To answer your question, well, the zodiac signs do have mythological origins. They're based on many events that happened in the ancient Greek world."
"You're starting to sound like a child of Minerva." Aquarius told her.
"I know." She said to him. "I suppose Capricorn could provide a much better explanation. Or Virgo, although I don't think he even knows why he's here half of the time."
Aquarius shrugged. "Let's just be honest, we're absolutely clueless."
"Yep." Aries stared up at the sky, watching the clouds float by.
The two of them sat there in silence again. For a while, nothing happened. It was peaceful and quiet, like an ideal holiday. If only monster attacks didn't happen anymore, and the demigods and legacies of the Greek and Roman world could sit back, relax, and enjoy life for once.
The moment of silence was broken by Aries, who turned to Aquarius with a mischievous smile on her face and asked, "So, how are things with you and Gemini?"
Aquarius looked up at her. "What do you mean?"
"Y'know, the two of you have been quite... close, lately." Aries responded, pressing her two index fingers together.
"Close as in friends, or...?" Aquarius asked again.
Aries laughed. "We all may be clueless, but you're even more clueless than the rest of us." Resting her head on her arm, she said, "I mean close as in more than friends, you clueless legacy."
"More than friends?" Aries' words made Aquarius' cheeks turn pink. "No, we're not like that."
"Oh yeah?" Aries looked at the brown haired male with a smirk on her face. "You two sure do act like a couple."
"No we do not!" Aquarius sighed. "Look, Gemini's been going through some tough times lately. You can tell from the way he's acting lately. I'm just doing what friends do."
The pink haired female did not seem convinced. "Oh, so that's how you're going to cover it up, aren't you, Aqua?"
"I thought only Gemini and Libra used that nickname." said Aquarius. "And stop saying that Gemini and I are a couple! We're just friends!"
"Friends with benefits?" Aries teased him.
"Aries, stop it!" Aquarius pouted. "What happened to patrol duty? You're getting off topic here if you ask me."
