Taehyung looked up in the sky, as he lay there in the mat being carried by the pack warriors. He caught sight of the stars and how they shine ever so brightly with the moon.

He closed his eyes, remembering his mother's words. Maybe, he'll be one of those stars in the sky when he dies.

He felt that the pack halted. Worry grew all over, thinking that there might be rogues. And so he peeked at the side, looking up.

"What's happening?" Taehyung asked.

"It's your mate." Beomgyu spoke and the omega frozed. Jeongguk? What does he mean?

"What is the meaning of this, Jeongguk?" Namjoon asked as the young alpha blocked the trail, keeping them from moving. Everyone then gasped, even Beomgyu's reaction did not failed to call Taehyung's attention.

"B-beomgyu! What is it!" Taehyung asked frantic.

"I-I don't know, Tae. I couldn't hear Alpha Namjoon and your mate," Beomgyu said.

"Alpha Namjoon," Jeongguk started, eyes begging. "Please let me help Taehyung. Let me help him live."

"What do you mean, Jeongguk?" Namjoon asked.

"I know how important the soul bond is to Taehyung. But breaking it was the only solution we have to let him live." Jeongguk explained. "I'll do it, Alpha Namjoon. I'll bring him to the Blood Moon Peak and break the bond. It's the only solution. Please."

Namjoon think of it for awhile. If he would be honest to himself, without a second thought, he'll do it. He'll accept Jeongguk's offer of helping Taehyung. Whatever it takes to save his brother. But eventhough it's a matter of life and death, soul bond is something that no any warewolves should sacrifice.

Namjoon breathe heavily and looked at Jeongguk, who has a desperate look on his face. "Jeongguk, I'm willing to accept whatever I have to do just to let my brother live. But to say you have to break the soul bond, I think I'm not the one who you should be asking about that."

Namjoon turned around and looked at the trail, eyes landing on his weak brother laying on the mat. Jeongguk felt it again. The pull for his mate that is suffering. His wolf howls inside and before he knew it, he's crouching down infront of that very pale Taehyung, who had his eyes widened, looking at Jeongguk surprisingly.

"Taehyung, I'm willing to help you. I'm willing to do anything to keep you alive. I-I can't live my life and spend it with someone else knowing I sacrificed my own mate for it." Jeongguk spoke and Taehyung teared up in his sincerity. He knew right then, he's still lucky to have Jeongguk to be his mate. Because even though he did not choose him, he cared for him this much. "We have to break the soul bond, Taehyung. It's the only way."

To Namjoon's surprise, without any second thought, he saw Taehyung agreed. He looked down, knowing how important all these mating and soul bond to Taehyung. But then again, he knew it's the only way.

Taehyung nodded, smiling. And then he whispered, "Thank you, Jeongguk. L-let's do it."

"The moon will show it's fullness this Sunday Night. The journey towards the Blood moon peak will only take three to four days which give us just enough time. There, in the blood moon peak, you will have to say the vows of separation for the bond to break." Mina explained, as she was asked by Jeoun and Namjoon, together with Jeongguk and Taehyung and some pack healers and warriors. "Alpha Jeoun, I do not recommend to bring such a handful of warriors with them. The mountain is full of rogues."

"If it is full of rogues then would it be just right to bring pack warriors?" Namjoon asked. Jeongguk nodded in agreement.

"A handful of people would attract rogues and scavengers. The more warewolves they see, the more they would attack. With just Taehyung and Jeongguk, they would think they're just rogues too. In that way, they won't bring harm to them."

The others hummed in agreement. The two alpha could look at each other, uncertain. Then they heard Jeongguk breathe sharply.

"Well then, Taehyung and I will start our journey towards the Blood moon mountain as soon as possible." He spoke and looked at Namjoon. "I will assure you that I will protect Taehyung with all my life, Alpha Namjoon."

Taehyung looked up to him, Jeongguk looked at him as well and smiled comfortingly. Alpha Jeoun nodded. Breathing sharply as well. "Then it's all set. Tomorrow morning, you'll start the long journey. I hope and pray for the safety of the both of you."

They both thanked the alpha. Then it's Namjoon's term to speak. Namjoon smiled at Jeongguk.

"Thank you, Jeongguk. For doing this for my brother. Please keep him safe. I trust you, young alpha." He spoke.

"I won't disappoint you, Alpha Namjoon. And you don't have to thank me. This is the least that I can do to help Taehyung. Because bonded or not, he will always be my mate."

Mate. Taehyung smiled at that.
