A couple of days had already passed.  And within those period of time, a lot of things took place.

After the war, the remaining wolves and warriors from the Blood Creed was taken by Yoongi's warriors, whose fate will still be decided. It seems like, they'd most likely join into the pack for new beginnings.

The two head alpha's bond and trust to each other even became stronger. Namjoon will be forever in debt to Alpha Jeoun for everything that he did for their packs and for his brother. The other Alpha will always be grateful to Namjoon as well.

The dead wolves were given a proper burial, specially Mina and Minho. It was Namjoon who decided to give proper burial to the late Head Alpha and his Luna, as a sign of their rank. No matter how wrong they were, he cannot fathom to not give them the honor in their names.

They went back to the Dark Hound's pack for a quick rest and celebration, creating strong bonds between each other's pack warriors, specially Hoseok and Yoongi.

That very day, the Moon Blaze's warriors bid their goodbyes to return to their home, leaving with pride as the wolves in the Dark Hound gave them the utmost respect.

The Moon Blaze welcomed their warriors, giving them a great celebration for their bravery. Jin practically run to Namjoon and thanked the Goddess that his mate had returned home safely.

Jeongguk sighed solemnly. It was a rough week to everyone, a lot of things happened in those days. And now, all he wanted to do was to rest.

But that's a bit impossible considering he has a very clingy mate trying to latch on him every second. Mind the word very.

"Mate? Mate, mate-"

Jeongguk swiftly turned around and sit beside Taehyung, who's eyes are wide and frantic before they fall unto Jeongguk, who sighed and climbed on his lap, embracing his neck. "Mate."

"Yes, I'm here," Jeongguk smiled. "Mate is here."

Apparently, Taehyung is still under the phoenix' control, who woke up knowing only one thing: protect mate. And he still believe that up to this day, he had to ensure Jeongguk's safety. So here he was, always wanting to be near Jeongguk.

It warmed Jeongguk's heart the moment Taehyung put his snout in his neck, as soon as the war ended, whimpering in affection and refusing to let go of the Alpha. He practically growled at anyone who dares to come forward, standing in a protective stance.

It brought butterflies to his stomach, knowing that the phoenix knows him as his mate, eventhough he and Taehyung already broke the bond.

He wonders what will happen if Taehyung eventually wakes up. Will he still acknowledge him as his mate? Jeongguk doesn't want to think about that now.

"Has mate already eaten?" Taehyung asked and frowned when Jeongguk shook his head. "Mate hasn't eaten yet?!"

"I was just waiting for you to wake up, tae. No need to get angry," Jeongguk chuckled, carresing Taehyung's back to calm him down. "Now up we go. We have to eat breakfast."

Taehyung wordlessly stood up and followed Jeongguk, hands gripping at Jeongguk's shirt tightly, eyes wondering around.

"Good morning, Taehyung," Daniel smiled, who's having a breakfast with Jimin and Yoongi in the dining.

"They're friends, pup. Okay?" Jeongguk reassures, remembering what happened the other day, when Jimin became too excited he jumped on Taehyung, who almost use his strength to push the boy. Taehyung nodded and sat beside Jimin.

"Good morning, tae, have some!" Jimin spoke, giving a bread. Taehyung took it and immediately turned to Jeongguk, extending his hand to give the bread.

"Oh no no, tae. Thank you but I'll only have coffee." Jeongguk asnwers.

"Just accept it before he gets mad," Yoongi grumbles at Jeongguk, who saw the way Taehyung almost growl at his mate. Jeongguk sighed, nodding his head.

"Alright. We'll eat it, okay? Both of us. C'mere." Jeongguk called. The omega then immediately climbed on his lap, arms tight on his neck. He broke the bread in half and handed Taehyung the other piece.

Taehyung's eyes practically gleam in the gesture, smiling softly and munching onto the sweet bread. Jeongguk smiled at that as well.

"You both are really good at reminding me how single I am," Daniel sighes. "I wish I find my mate soon too,"

"You haven't found your mate?"

"Yeah," Daniel answers. "But in the war, I feel like my mate is near. I just couldn't find the right scent. There's too much wolves..I couldn't find my mate.."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Dani," Jimin spoke apologetically. "Maybe it's a warrior in this pack. Or in our pack! You'll eventually find your mate, don't worry."

"Thanks, Jimin." Daniel spoke and stood up. "Anyway, I'll leave you now then. Alpha Jeoun told me to bring some herbals in the Moon Blaze Pack. Do you know who's the one incharge of the pack warriors?"

"It's Hoseok," Yoongi answered. "Do you know him?"

"Oh, I've heard of him. I'll just ask around when I reach the pack," Daniel smiled. "See you later!"

They bid their goodbyes to the beta, sighing before they went back to eating. But then they heard a giggle, and they were surprised by Taehyung's eyes, whose practically glowing in golden dusts.

"Tae?"

"Mate," he giggles again. "He's going to see his mate."

"Son?"

Jeongguk looked up to his father, who opened the door to his chamber and went in. He smiled a bit to his father. "Yes?"

"How's Taehyung?"

"He's alright. Although the phoenix is still in control," Jeongguk sighes, looking at the sleeping figure beside him, whose hands were gripping at his shirt eventhough the Alpha's sitting up.

"It has been three days, son. He has to wake up," Jeoun spoke. "The other packs had heard about the phoenix, and they wanted to visit our pack to see Taehyung."

"Does Alpha Namjoon knows?"

"Yes. He and his Luna will be coming this week to be with Taehyung," Jeoun spoke. "Jennie and Jimin will try to wake up Taehyung's human soul tomorrow. I just want to let you know."

"Oh," Jeongguk utters, eyes trailing at Taehyung.

As selfish as it may sound, he's hoping that this Taehyung will remain. Because honestly, he's not very sure that the Taehyung who would wake up from the phoenix' control would still acknowledge him as his mate.

If only he listened to his heart before, then maybe Taehyung would still be his.

"Are you scared?" His father asked.

"I'm terrified." He answered truthfully. "Would he still want me as his mate? After we have broken the bond? Father, I can't let him go,"

"Then you'll have to work harder. Prove to Taehyung that you truly love him," Jeoun sighes. "Now that he's mateless and his identity will be spread to different packs, you will have to step up your game."

He could only hope that Taehyung would still acknowledge him as his mate.
