Khalid was an Indian Muslim,

He worked in Saudi Arabia

His wife was in Sikkim

Because he couldn't afford to keep her in Jeddah

Alice was an Indian Christian

In Saudi Arabia, she was a nurse

A deranged patient once spitted on her

Saying Arabs will always come first

Ram Chandra was a Brahmin Hindu

He taught in a prestigious Arab academy

The children refused to listen to him, called him names too

All because instead of speaking Arabic, he spoke Marathi

Jaspreet was an austere Sikh

She wore a turban on her head

The girls in her university called her 'sick'

And refused to talk to her, because of the dagger underneath her dress!

Anurak followed Indian Buddhism

He hailed from Darjeeling

He worked as a guard at an Indian primary institution

In fear, because the Ministry of Education could kick him out, when they felt like it.

Oppressed, these people were mentally challenged.

But in their hearts, they were still patriotic.

So when 15th August came by,

They sang the Indian National Anthem, ecstatic.

These people who are oppressed, believe respect lies for them in their hometown

They flaunt their nationality here in Saudi Arabia

They've cast aside their religions, to give their fellow Indian expatriates affection

But in their hometown, the people are killing each other, in glorious India.

The shootings of Jamia Islamia...

The demolition of fraternity.

Bhakts pride themselves on their Neo-Nazi behaviour

While Modi quietly sips his tea.

Countless girls have been stripped of their esteem

Their news all over social media, every other day

They're forced to crush their dreams

While society shames THEM, this is a dismay.

Is this what we NRI's are supposed to be proud of?

To hold our heads high when people comment how dangerous our country is for women?

Don't you fools remember,

The sweet victory of 1947?

It was only possible because we fraternised

The British colonials saw our strength and fled

Do you want to go back to being colonised

Where half the population didn't even have enough wheat to make bread

My question is simple

And so is the answer

Why are you doing this?

Is this what was planned by our forefathers?

If you can't answer this question it proves

That your hate is irrational

The Horse that is India, you are its hooves.

It's counting on you to take it towards the path that is developmental

But you're taking it backwards, to the path of absolute lack of control

The Horse is terrified of you

Mother India would've spanked you if she wasn't fictional

She's disgusted by you
