Morocco is the world's third biggest producer of olives,
Followed by Turkey.
But Palestine is divided;
Between the ranks of seventeen and twenty.
On rank seventeen, it is labelled "Israel",
A terrible, horrible name if you ask me.
It demands a straight face when you speak it.
But your teeth greet the world when you utter "Falasteeeen"!
Some say irony is a funny thing.
I'll admit I enjoy it too,
When I watch a sitcom and a character rejects a plan:
Then when chaos escalates, they jump right into.
But this irony in global politics;
And the blatant hypocrisy by the idols and the stars,
I wouldn't say it is something to laugh at,
But instead, a calling to war.
These are not people, but rather beasts
Who'll do anything for a large, juicy morsel of fame
It doesn't matter to them if in the process
They bite the very hand that feeds them
But this message has turned into a rant
So I'll end it here
Palestine, including the occupied territories supplies the world with 197,445 tonnes of olives per year
But in times of need, they can't even get ahold of a sliver of an olive branch
Isn't it ironic
The olive branch is a symbol of peace And yet so many of the countries that produce this plant
Feel that peace is but a dream
