my first was a prolouge to an abandoned story called apocalypse moon

It's a sunny day, skies clear as glass. There were people outdoors, children were playing and happily running around. Four friends, named Kaydien, Natalie, Jaeson and Leah were eating lunch at a nearby cafe. They were watching the children scamper with joy in their eyes, and everything was perfect for the group, until the moon suddenly, faster than usual, started rising.

It was insanely close, the friends had just finished lunch. They suddenly all received a notification, The City News Report (TCNR.)

"WARNING; DO NOT GO OUTSIDE. WE ARE HAVING OUR FIRST APOCALYPSE MOON IN 600,000 YEARS. WE WILL EXPLAIN MORE ON TELEVISION IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME. DO NOT LOOK OUT WINDOWS, BOARD UP ALL ENTRANCES AND NEVER GO OUTSIDE. STOCK UP ON AS MUCH FOOD AS YOU CAN AND SEEK SHELTER.

Most of the group freaked out, questioning what was happening, or what was going to happen.The sky went from an astonishingly dark, lush blue and purple mix, to a darker than a black hole. The group went to the nearest house of the friends; Jaeson's house. Many people, including the four scampered to their homes and apartments. Some stayed outside believing it was all a hoax, and there was no such thing as an "Apocalypse Moon."

They died in minutes.

Kaydien turns to the anxious group and questioned in a high voice," What's going on, you guys??" Jaeson who was just as uneasy nonchalantly replied," Im not sure, we need to go home to find out." The four dash in and turn on the TV. The warning was on every channel. Even Disney JR, those kids are gonna have some bad nightmares. That annoying blare played, displaying a maroon red glitchy screen, we listened as closely as possible.

"WARNING: WE ARE HAVING WHAT'S CALLED AN APOCALYPSE MOON. LOCK AND BARRICADE ALL ENTRANCES AND GET AS SHELTERED AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL, A WEATHER ALERT, OR A TORNADO. THIS IS WORSE AND EVEN MORE LIFE THREATENING. LOOK ANYWHERE NEAR THE MOON, YOU WILL BE BRAINWASHED AND VERY POSSIBLY BRAIN DEAD IN SECONDS. DO NO-- AAH-- H-" The TV began to glitch out, muffled screams echoed throughout the house.

Most of the friends gave concerned looks, one of the four looking brave and concerned at the same time, Jaeson. One crying, Kaydien. One having a panic attack and on the verge of tears, Natalie. One was in the corner, not listening to the random warning. This was Leah. The lights flickered, and so did the screen. No voice, just beeping and glitchy sounds, but with words on the screen:

"don't look at the moon. don't look at the moon. Don't look at the moon" The screen chanted it, until a small voice began to grow. it grew louder. it was the same voice as before, but stressed

"I'M ON THE VERGE OF CONTROL, DON'T LOOK INTO THE MOON! DOOOoONt--"

Just like that.
