Bea woke up a little late than usual. she's still wearing her PJs when she went down, she assumes na her dad and mom are already in the office but she saw Det doing something in the kitchen
"Oh you're awake na pala" Det said even when she's not looking
"Uhm aren't you going to make sermon?" bea asked and sit on the stool near the stove
"No naman. I heard na what happened from your Dad. Beatriz don't stay late sa cemetery alam mo naman madilim don and no people around to help if something happens"
"Yes Ma. Hindi ka punta sa office?"
"Nope. I stayed up so late waiting for my daughter so late ako nagising"
"sorry Ma"
"Its okay. You wanna eat something? I'll cook."
"Crabs please"
"Okay crabs it is"
Det continues to cook while Bea is watching her.
"Ay ma"
"Yes?"
"Thirdy was here last night?"
"Yeah I asked him if magkasama pa kayo, its weird kasi nung nalaman niyang wala ka pa after his work he went straight here and take note hinatid siya ng fire truck"
Beatriz chuckles "What? Hinatid siya ng fire truck?"
"Yea. Akala ko nga may sunog near us because of the siren, nagppanic lang pala si Thirdy"
"That's so funny"
"Can I ask you something, anak?" Det asked
"what is it ma?"
"What do you feel about him?"
"Huh?"
"After months, its my first time hearing you laugh, seeing you smile, what is up?"
"Actually ma, i'm nervous"
"Why?"
"Kasi baka I like him tapos im denial lang. Its so wrong Ma"
"Huh? Why is it so wrong, single ka, single siya"
"Ma, widow not single"
"Anak, I'm sure, your husband would like you to remarry"
"No ma, magiisang taon palang. msyadong mabilis"
"Anak, Beatriz, stop listening to your brain and listen to your heart. You can deny your feelings to everyone pero sa sarili mo? you can't anak"
"I just can't, Ma. I cant love someone when I still love my husband"
"Anak, your husband, you can never unlove him. He will always stay in your heart, he will always be your husband"
"Exactly, I can't have two husbands ma"
"No anak, you know what, you have to let go of the other one, let go of my angel son in law or let go of Captain Ravena, your choice but in order for you love just one you have to choose."
"and whatever choice you will make, kami ng Daddy mo, andito lang kami, if you're willing to choose Thirdy, we will be happy that you will love again, but if you continue to hold on to your husband, we will respect you as well, pero anak, bata ka pa, you don't have to close your heart just because he died. I'm sure he'll side with me in this" Det added
"I don't know, Ma. I lost a lot this year, I cant afford to lose one more."
"Who told you you'll lose Thirdy?"
"He's a fire fighter for pete's sake. life can take them away from me"
"Ang akin lang anak, don't make a decision just because you're afraid"
She just nodded
"Go eat something muna i'll call you when the crabs are done na"
Bea stood up and before she leaves the kitchen she looks back to her Mom
"Ma, Thanks"
Det looks at her and mouthed "I love you"
