i. the start of disasters

" wake up, tate!" my brother, kayden, said shaking me. "im up, im up," i groaned as i got up.
"dad told me you have a meeting your manager today. and by the way, its at 10 am and it already 9:37," he reminded me as he walked out my room.

i went straight to the bathroom. i washed my face and brushed my teeth and hair. i quickly rushed to my room as i realized i had about 20 minutes left to get ready. i ran my closet and decided to wear high waisted black shorts with a white hoodie. i sprayed some perfume on and left my room. as i walked down the stairs, i checked my phone and saw i had about eight minutes left.

i yelled bye so my dad and brother knew i was leaving and quickly slipped on my white converse as i walked to my uber my brother ordered. i had 5 minutes left so i decided to check my phone.

as i got to the office, i quickly ran inside and saw a familiar tiktoker that was friends with josh. i went up to reception and asked for my manager. she said i had to wait a bit. i got on my phone and scrolled through tiktok. just a few minutes later, she called the other tiktoker, which i'm guessing is the other client. we walked over to the elevator silence as we walked to our managers office.

"hello," we said to micheal, our manger, as we sat down on the chairs. micheal then started to explain to us how big we were starting to get.
"with both of you growing, there are somethings that most of you don't have that the other has. what i'm trying to say is that i think that if you guys were to get into a relationship you would be able to grow," he explained as i grew confused.

"i'm sorry, are you saying you are going to make us become a "couple"!" i exclaimed as the client was quiet.
"yes tatum. and its not like you would have to decide because in the contract that you both signed specifically required that you do what i say that i think would help you two," he said as he showed us the contract i signed not to long ago.

"i don't even know her!" the boy exclaimed as he stood up with an angry look, which scared me.
"i came out all the way out here to hear that i have to be in couple that i have no consent in!" he spat out which made both micheal and i quiet. "yes mattia. now, you guys would have to act like you guys are in love, later on you guys will be engaged," micheal said making things worse.

"wait what! what do you mean engaged?" i gasped. at this point the client, mattia, was fuming.
"yes, but that will be in a month or so. i am going to give you this whole week to get close, than we will talk about living arrangements," he said, "this meeting is now over."

we left the room in shocked. i would have to spend the rest of my life figuring out how i'm going to deal with this, and i'm only 16! i finally decided to speak out, " since we have to be a couple, wanna go to the sway house? josh would be there," i tried to lighten up the mood.

"uh, yea sure," he muttered out as we walked to my uber. we sat in silence for a good fifteen minutes til we got to the house. we walked in and i immediately ran upstairs to go see nessa and oaklynn. mattia went off to find josh and anthony.

once i finally spotted them on their phone under a bunch of blankets on the bed, i decided to jump on them. "hey guys," i huffed out. they looked at me confused and asked me whats wrong. i explained to them what my manager said and what i had to do.

"oh my goodness, tate! what are you going to do?" nessa asked concerned as i laid down between her and oak.
"i'm going to have to do it. i have no choice unless i want to ruin my career," i sighed as i laid my head on oaklynn.

oaklynn then decided to change the subject as i seemed to frustrated. then anthony, bryce, josh, mattia, and kio came in as the sat on the couches. "hey kio!" i said getting up to give him a big hug. it was a very long one too.
"what about me?" anthony asked with a pout face as i gave him a hug.

i then looked to my right and just saw mattia staring at us with a disgusted looked.

welp, this is going to be a long ride.
