i woke to my phone ringing and ringing. i noticed that i was laying on mattia side , so i sat up and got my phone. i saw that i had a bunch of notifications from instagram. shit. i looked through my tags and saw that mattia and i were on tiktok room.
"mattia wake up," i said shaking him, but all he did was groan. i got up from the bed and put on my hoodie on. "why did you get up?" mattia asked rubbing his eyes as he sat up. "they found out you 'cheated' on me" i sighed emphasizing "cheat" with my fingers. "fuck, what do we do," he angrily said slipping his shirt on. "im going downstairs," i sighed leaving the room.
i went downstairs and saw that the only ones awake were oaklynn and kio. i went to go sit next to kio and laid my head on his lap. he got off his phone and ran his fingers through my hair. i sighed as i closed my eyes. "are you okay?" kio asked concerned. "yea. its just.. i dont know. who told them that he cheated. and the thing that i do not get is that it was supposedly one of my friends," i sighed "i wonder who," he said sternly looking towards oaklynn as i just looked at them back an forth.
after the weird tension between oaklynn and kio, i got up and went to the kitchen to grab myself a water. just as i sat down, mattia and oaklynn came in laughing and smiling.
"you guys seem happy to see each other," i said surprised. "i didnt know you were in here, tate," oaklynn said awkwardly stepping away from mattia. "well, it is my house," i laughed sarcastically. "ok.. im going back home, bye mattia," she waved leaving but then turned towards me, " bye tate."
once she was gone, mattia went to the fridge and started to look through as i just sat there confused trying to aline the pieces together.
"mattia, was she the one you were kissing yesterday?" i asked taking a sip from my water. "um.. why would you think that?" he asked laughing a little bit then biting into a granola bar. "it was weird how when you apologized, oaklynn wasnt there with the rest of the group," i said. "she probably went home early. i dont know?" he responded shrugging his shoulders. "im not finished," i blankly said.
"i also didnt get to see the facial features of the girl last night, plus the post said 'one of my friends'" i argued tilting my head. "are you really going to believe tiktokroom?" he asked. "i would believe you mattia, but ever since this 'relationship' thing started, all ive ever heard was lies." "ok, fine," he sighed, "oak and i have been talking ever since i left to go to new jersey to get my clothes. and, we kinda hit it off," he confessed rubbing his neck. "oh," was all i could say. "look, im sorry. i know you like me and all, but i ju-" he started to ramble until i cut him off. "no, i understand. um, ill try to talk to micheal so you can be with her," i said about to leave to kitchen.
"mattia?" i asked turning around. "yea?" he responded. "why did you lie," i asked confused. "what do you mean?" he asked concerned. "two days ago, you told my dad and brother that you were willing to go on another date with me? why did you lie to my family? and even yours. mrs, polibio saw 'potential' and told me how much she saw that you liked me," i rambled as i felt my eyes start to waters. "barely yesterday oak wanted me to tell you about us, but she wanted me to convince our parents that you and i were trying to keep our career," he explained.
i nodded my head and went to mattia's room now. i grabbed my stuff and started to transfer my things to a guest room. i finished fixing my room and laid down with a blanket. i heard the door open and saw kairi and alejandro come in eyeing my room.
"hey assholes," i laughed slightly sitting up. "why are you in here?" kairi asked sitting next to me. "i had to get a different room because i obviously couldnt sleep with my best friend's boyfriend," i sighed as alejandro sat in front of us.
"are you okay?" alejandro asked. "i should be," i smiled. " but youre not," kairi said. "because you like him," alejandro smiled. "i guess you're right," i sight once again, "but its no use now. he is dating my friend." "sure, but you also got to think that he is going to marry you," kairi said shrugging his shoulders. "i know, its just- i really started to like him and then he just decided to go to my best friend. and i cant believe oaklynn would do that to me," i cried out covering my face with my hands.
they hugged me until i looked up and saw that they were just staring at each other with a smirk. "what are you two planning?" i asked suspiciously. "nothing," kairi responded after a few seconds. "you two are annoying," i laughed lightly smacking their arms.
then out of nowhere they got up and gave me a side hug and left. they ran out my room like little girls.
"bye! weirdos," i exclamied whispering the last part.
