Bakugou was born deaf, his parents never had enough money for hearing aids, so the most of his life he went without hearing, until he meet Todoroki.

Bakugou woke up early that morning, he was going to U.A and wanted to get there early, earlier than deku. He got out of bed slowly, he walked to his neatly placed clothes and starts to get dressed.

after he finished getting into his uniform he walked down stairs, he was greeted by him mother, 'good morning Katsuki' she signs, 'hi old hag' he signs back, his mother clearly seemed mad but he just acted like he didn't notice.

he wanted to leave now so he grabbed a piece of toast and his shoes, he put the toast in his mouth and then he put his shoes on, Bakugou opened the door and left, slamming the door behind him.

his walk to school was boring, nothing really happened. When Bakugou arrived in class he only saw a heterochromic pair of eyes looking back at his crimson ones, he took a couple of steps back, the boy seemed to be talking but Bakugou obviously couldn't hear him, he signed at him, 'i can't hear you idiot' he signed, Bakugou didn't think the boy could understand him but he signed back, 'i apologise, I'm Shoto Todoroki' Bakugou looked shocked, 'you can sign?!' he asked, 'my mother is deaf, so I learnt how to sign for her' Todoroki signed, 'I'm Bakugou Katsuki' Bakugou signed, Todoroki smiled.

class started and Bakugou didn't talk to anyone, he could speak but just cause he could doesn't mean he wants too. Todoroki walked up to Bakugou, 'Bakugou? you don't have hearing aids' Todoroki signed, 'i never had enough money for them' Bakugou signed back, 'i will keep that in mind' Todoroki signed, Bakugou felt confused.

//time skip to Bakugou's birthday//

Bakugou has been going to U.A for awhile and he has made a couple of friends, mostly he just hangs out with Todoroki because he is the only person that can sign in class.

it was Bakugou's birthday and he didn't think anyone would remember. He walked into class and was greeted by a cloth covering his eyes, blocking his vision, he tired to fight until he felt someone touch his arm, it was Todoroki, he knew it was him because no one else's touch made Bakugou's whole body shiver, he felt Todoroki lead him somewhere.

When the blindfold was taken off he was in Recovery girl's office, he looked around, his whole class was there, they all looked happy, Todoroki had a big smile on his face. Recovery girl walked in and smiled at Bakugou, 'Bakugou, Todoroki paid for you to get hearing aids' she signs, he felt shocked, 'how much?! I will pay him back as soon as

possible' Bakugou signed, 'he said I can't tell you' she signs back, he glared at Todoroki.

Recovery girl moved to Bakugou's left ear, she started to get to work, everyone watched, she placed the hearing aid in and started to turn it on, she made sure it worked before giving the thumbs up for the class indicating he can hear, no one wanted to ruin Bakugou's first experience with hearing so they stayed silent, Todoroki looked at Bakugou and decided to speak, "Bakugou? can you hear me?" he asked, Bakugou looked at Todoroki in shock, he heard him, "i can hear you" Bakugou spoke for the first time, he didn't have a reason too before now, Todoroki smiled and hugged him, "i'm so glad" He says happily.

The class decided to all talk to Bakugou one at a time so he could hear their voices, "hey Bakugou, it's me, you're bro Kirishima!" he says happily, Bakugou rolled his eyes, "if your going to talk to me, talk to me like a normal person" Bakugou says, the class laughed and Kirishima just whined, "all your voices are annoying, expect for... nevermind" Bakugou stopped himself from saying something embarrassing, "ohhh Bakugou's got a crush" Mina says, "Todoroki talk the hearing aids back, I don't want to listen to this bullshit" Bakugou says, Todoroki giggled, "keep them, I don't want them" Todoroki says.

Bakugou walked home that day listening to all the sounds, the cars driving by, the children coming home from school laughing and having fun, the sound of someone screaming his name, someone is screaming his name?! he turns around to see Todoroki running at him, "Bakugou! hey!" Todoroki yelled, "you walk this way?" Bakugou asked, "ah no, I catch the train but I didn't want to waste my money on the train so I decided to walk home" Todoroki says, Bakugou smirked, "you wasted all your money on the hearing aids didn't you?" Bakugou asked, Todoroki laughed and nods slightly, "dumbass" Bakugou says, Todoroki smiled, "you love me Bakugou" Todoroki says happily.

they walked home talking to each other, "you really miss out on the little sounds when you can hear all your life" Bakugou says, Todoroki nods, "i actually learned to appreciate my hearing because of you" Todoroki says, "good, I am a very good role model" Bakugou says, Todoroki laughed, "sure sure" he says, "i'm better than you!" Bakugou says, Todoroki laughed more.
