It was decided that they will have their wedding in six months time. It's been five months when they got to engage and a month to their wedding. For the past few months a lot of changes happened. EJ had to resign from being a teacher due to his grand father's death and his father had a mild stroke and was advised to lessen work-related stress. So being the only son, he will be the one to run their company. It was hard for EJ to leave the resource room, the students, the school, his friends and Kristine behind. He was used to seeing students every day and teaching students every single day.

Kristine on the other hand was sad about EJ leaving but she knows that EJ is the only son of his parents and is expected to run their business empire. Although she has a new partner in the resource room, she still longs for EJ's presence beside her. They had an agreement that they would abstain from their sexual desires for each other until their wedding night. They would only go out on casual dinner dates and spend time together during the weekends.

Recently, EJ was not able to have dates with her and would not even call her during the day. It was bothering her and all sorts of ideas are running through her mind. Even during weekends she would wait for him but he would not arrive and would just send a text message saying that he is sorry for not being there. She was trying to think that maybe he has a lot of stuff to do in his office and have to finish everything. She wouldn't lie that she also thought about Nadia trying to get EJ back. She was zoning out in her thoughts when Nerine tapped her shoulder.

"Hey! What are you thinking about?" Her friend was concerned due to her facial expressions.

"Nothing. I'm fine. Just thinking about something." She told her and smiled at her.

Nerine knows her too much. She knows if she has problems and when she is thinking about something deeply.

"Kris. Tell me is it about EJ? Did you guys fight?" Nerine asked while sipping her coffee.

She let out a deep sigh and looked at her best friend. "You know me too well. It's just I don't want to overthink about it but it's somewhat bothering me."

"Why what is it about?"

"Well, it's been a week and a half and we didn't see each other. He barely calls me and does not respond to my text messages. I mean, I'm just thinking maybe he has a lot of work to do and to catch up on but it's like he doesn't remember that he has a finance." She let out a groan of frustration and drank her coffee.

Nerine was staring and smiling at her. She knows her best friend is deeply in love with Mr. Rivera.

"So, why don't you visit him at RGC headquarters? It's just around the block anyway."

"I don't know but maybe I'll do that. Nerine, are you free tonight?" It was out of nowhere that she felt she wanted to go to a nearby bar to have a girls night out.

"Girls night out? I'm free until 12 midnight. Josh has Dylan anyway and my brother is at our house tonight so I'm free!"

It was around 8:30 in the evening when they went to a nearby bar that was owned by Ron and his wife Eunice. They were guided to the VIP lounge and the started to order some drinks. Eunice was the one who served their drinks.

"Girls night out?" Eunice asked the both of them.

"Yeah, I need a break from all this wedding preparations" Kristine replied.
