I wake up alone

I wake up alone. No one is knocking at the door. I wanna stay in bed for the whole day and do nothing. But I remember we are supposed to be arriving at the capitol. And I need to maintain my good reputation.

I change my clothes, opting for a casual light blue dress. The first thing I found. Before exiting the room I take a look at myself in the mirror. I still can't believe I managed to capture the Capitol's heart.

I exit the room and walk over to the main lobby, the one we were on yesterday. The table is already prepared for breakfast, but I don't grab anything. I decide to wait for everyone else to come.

Something catches my attention on the window. The train is going a lot slower than yesterday, so everything can be seen perfectly. But right now, the window is pitch dark.

I come closer to it, and after some minutes the window lights up again with the dazzling shine of the Capitol. I open my mouth at the big city. It's beautiful. Even more beautiful than shown on tv. I notice some people standing, cheering at the train. I wave my hand with a smile on my face to everyone. I'm overwhelmed with emotions and visuals that are too much for me to handle.

People start going crazy. I don't have enough hands to wave and throw little kisses to every single one of them. If only I could use my voice...

"Open the window and take your head out. Greet them. Just make sure you enter back before the station so you don't crush to death." I hear tulip say behind me. I smile at her and turn around to the window, opening the door and leaning in to take the upper part of my body out.

The crowd starts cheering even louder.

"Maeve! Maeve!" I could her them scream.

"Look over here!"

"Welcome to the capitol dear!"

"You have myself as a sponsor!"

"I've raised some funds for you!"

"We will make you win!"

"I love you!"

"Maeve! Maeve! Maeve!"

The chants are too much to even hear. I just smile, thank, and hold hands with the people reaching out for me. Everyone seems happy, like they've never been before. They are happy to see me.

Then other body comes out of the window with me, that's Fred.

The crowd cheers back again, as loud as they can.

After some minutes, we quickly arrive at the station and we have to pull our bodies back in the train cart before the massive brick building crush us to death. I grab a coffee cup to go that has already been prepared specially for me.

"Well, that was intense." I hear Fred say. I take a look at him and chuckle. It was intense, yeah.

I get out of the train and notice the train station has been closed today to stop the crowds from getting here. I also notice other train that parked before us.
