A/n: gosh I know I haven't updated this in more than a year but I have around 10 unpublished, unedited chapters to this story and to be honest I feel like it's kind of a waste not to publish them since I spent a good summer writing them, and I was so excited about them. And since I keep getting notifications about this story getting added to reading lists I'm going to publish one of these 10 chapters and see how it goes. I'm not expecting this story to get more reads because quite frankly my account has been totally inactive for a year now but once again, I don't want to let my work go to waste and sit on my drafts for years and years (I never delete my drafts, I have things I wrote SEVEN years ago sitting there)

That's all I wanted to say haha if you are reading this thank you for checking up the story and thank you for returning back to read the next chapters even if it's been a year!!! I know these chapters are not gonna be anywhere near good since I just write for fun but if you do enjoy them thank you so much and have a nice day!

Btw most of these chapters are gonna be unedited bc I've been on a creative block for a while and don't really have the energy to edit but I just wanna get at least one of them out there and edit them later when I go over the whole book (published + unpublished, I have around 15 chapters written in total.)

Phanuel and I are all dolled up walking to the chariots, and i can guarantee I am extremely nervous.

The rest of the tributes may hate me. A lot. I hope they didn't see the interview, and I hope they don't even know about it. They will try to kill me first, and that's something I'm not planning.

As soon as we step in sight, the tributes and the mentors are looking at us, some people seem happy to see us, like for example Finnick, some people seem extremely annoyed at me, like for example the girl from seven rolling her eyes at me, and some people's faces are expressionless.

"Well, this is intimidating." I whisper to Phanuel, who was standing next to me. I would have preferred it to be Fred, since I don't completely trust Phanuel, but I have to try to enlighten the mood sometimes.

"They envy you, though, the ones rolling their eyes or looking badly at you do." He says while he waves his hand to the girl from seven. She immediately looks away and her face changes. He scoffs and carries on.

We walk to our assigned chariot and stand there, waiting for Fred, Tulip, Steffan and Paula, Phanuel's stylist.

I had already spotted Finnick, but his tributes are nowhere to be seen. They may not be ready yet. After all, it's still quite early and the ceremony isn't to start in an hour. We were one of the first tributes to arrive, since we had to change quickly. I see Finnick walking his way towards us, with a little grin on his face.

"What is he coming here for?" Phanuel asks, indifferently.

"Probably wants to have a word." I answer indifferently as well.
