Ashton: Birds chirped happily outside the window, their singing ringing in your ears as you laid silently in bed. The space where Ashton usually occupied was empty, the cold sheets trailing between your fingertips as you traced the spot. Loneliness dwelled throughout your body, your chest tight with hurt as you stared at the ceiling. He was gone. He hadn't even waited for you to get up, he just left without saying any- A loud clash from downstairs broke you from your thoughts and you instantly shot out of bed, hurriedly walking down the stairs as Ashton's curses filled your ears. As soon as your eyes landed on him, you felt the hurt wash away; instead it was replaced with relief. Silence fell throughout the house as Ashton's gaze landed on you, his once lively hazel eyes now dull with sadness as he silently packed up his things. You watched sadly as he piled up his things to bring outside, regret and sadness building up in your chest once more. The events from last night reoccurred in your mind and you instantly wanted to push them away; you had made a mistake, you didn't want him to leave, you were just sick and tired of being alone all the time. In the back of your mind you knew that you had to let him go, that it was the smart choice; but you loved him. Hell, he hadn't even left yet and you were already feeling empty without him. Watching as he lifted one of his boxes to bring outside, just as he reached for the door handle, you opened your mouth to say something despite the inner turmoil your heart and brain were having. "Don't leave." Ashton's hand froze on the doorknob, his body tensing. Slowly you walked towards him, your hands reaching out so they could rest gently on his broad shoulders. Squeezing them gently, you moved one slowly up his neck before resting it on his chin and tilting his face towards yours. As soon as your eyes locked and you saw the tears in his eyes, you were a goner and the next few moments were a blur. Somehow the box that Ashton was holding was now on the ground as he turned his body around so that it was pressed against yours, his arms wounding around your waist as he crashed his lips onto yours. Immediately responding, your arms wrapped around his neck as you pulled him as close to you as possible. "Don't leave me," you muttered against his lips before pulling away from him breathlessly. "Forget everything I said last night just, please... Don't leave me." Tears welled up in your eyes as Ashton shook his head, his hands moving from your hips to rest on the sides of your face. "You had every right to be upset, baby," he said quietly, thumbs wiping away the tears that fell down your cheeks. "I promise that I'm not going to leave you alone ever again. I will stay by your side from now on, okay?" Nodding your head, you leaned forward and pressed your forehead against his, a breath of relief escaping your lips as you tugged him closer to you. "I love you," you whispered. Nuzzling his nose against yours, Ashton kissed your lips gently. "I love you too, Y/N. So much."
Calum : Two weeks. Two long weeks of nothing but crying, screaming, and loneliness. All of the anger you had towards Calum the night he told you what he had done was gone, instead being replaced by a cloud of hurt that made the days grow longer and the pain in your chest hurt even more. It was as if a trigger was set off as soon as Calum had walked out of the door; your happiness and love following the boy who had captured your heart out of your life. And despite the fact that the two of you were no longer together, the other three boys still stood by both of your sides, concerned of both yours and his well-being. Through the two weeks of doing nothing but crying and staring at the empty bed space next to yours, you finally agreed to the boys pleading for you to talk to Calum. And that's how you got to where you were right now; your arms were crossed over you chest, your lips pursed as Calum sat opposite you on the other couch, his eyes glued to the floor as silence flittered around the room. It hurt to see him. It hurt to see the boy who had managed to break your heart with only four words. But despite being hurt, it was a relief to see the sadness that clouded over you was enveloping him as well. Taking a deep breath, you unfolded your arms and placed your palms on your thighs. "Cal -" Your voice faded off into the air, your chest tightening in rejection as you tried to find the right words to say. Calum lifted his head and shook it slightly, pushing himself off of the couch. "No, don't say anything." His voice was hoarse, his mouth twisted into a frown. "I made a mistake, I lost you, it's my fault. You had every right to be mad, Y/N. If the roles were reversed and you had done to me what I did to you..." Calum trailed off as his shoulders stiffened, his lip trembling as he shook his head and tried to compose himself. "I don't blame you for hating me." Silence fell over the two of you as Calum's voice rang throughout your head, your tough demeanor faltering as you stood up from the couch. "I don't hate you." Your voice was quiet and you stood frozen, your eyes glued to his face as you looked at him sadly. "I should hate you, but I don't." Wearily, Calum took a step closer to you, his hand reaching out and grabbing yours gently. "You don't?" He asked meekly, his jaw clenching slightly. Shaking your head, you intertwined your fingers with his and brought his hand up to your face. "I have spent the last two weeks missing you, Cal. I've been laying awake at night to an empty bed and I'm just... Lonely. I can't do this without you anymore." Bringing his hand t your lips, you kissed it gently before letting it fall again. "I know cheating is bad and they say that once someone cheats they'll do it again, but I don't think that a cheater would be upset over someone like you were upset over me." Calum's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at you, his dark eyes narrowing slightly. "What are you saying?" Taking a deep breath, you tugged on his hand as a signal to pull him closer, your free arm wrapping around his waist as you rested your chin on his chest. "I want you to come back to me," you whispered, your walls crumbling down completely as you gazed into his eyes. "I can't handle being sad anymore, Cal. I - I need you." Everything you had held back since the moment you laid eyes on him again came rushing to the surface and you felt like you couldn't breathe, your eyes welling up with tears before you tried to compose yourself. Immediately Calum wrapped his arms around your body, his forehead coming to rest on yours as he rubbed your back soothingly. "I'd be a fool not to come back to you, Y/N. These past few weeks have been hell without you," he murmured, pressing his lips against your forehead gently. Silence flittered through the living room as the two of you stood wrapped up in each other's arms, no words needing to be said as your lips pressed against one another's.
