Ashton: Silence clouded over the living room as you and Ashton stood face to face. His hands were clenched into fists by his sides as his hazel orbs glared at you, his mouth turned into a scowl. What had originally started out as a small tussle over who was making dinner tonight turned into a full blown screaming match which had drifted from its original topic to something much more drastic and damaging. "You're being ridiculous." Ashton's voice finally broke the silence and you had to force yourself not to scoff at his words, opting to shake your head at him instead. "I'm being ridiculous?" You asked incredulously, your eyebrows raising and your arms flinging out to either side of you. "Well forgive me for being upset that my boyfriend never wants to come home anymore! He'd much rather stay out and drink with his mates and fuck any girl who gives him the time of day!" Your voice rose an octave higher than usual as you yelled at him, tears springing to your eyes as you clutched your chest; a pathetic attempt to stop the oncoming sobs. Ashton remained silent; his gaze remained on you, cold eyes staring blankly at your now sobbing form. Taking a deep breath, you ran a hand through your hair and composed yourself. "I can't do this anymore, Ash." Your voice was quiet as you lowered your gaze to the ground. Ashton seemed to unfreeze as those words left your lips, his heart breaking as he watched you cry. "Wh- what?" Taking another breath you tried to stop your cries as you hastily wiped the falling tears on your face. "I can't handle us anymore," you whispered, lifting your head to look at him. "I can't take the late nights, the drunken mistakes, us fighting; I just... can't." Ashton bit his bottom lip to prevent the cry of despair that desperately wanted to escape him, his eyes filling with tears when it finally clicked in his head. "Are you - are you saying that you want to break up?" Silence fell between the two of you as his words echoed throughout the room, the only sounds audible being both of your breathing and the occasional sob or two from you. Truth be told, you didn't want to break up with him; as a matter of fact, that was the last thing you wanted to do. But you couldn't handle being alone anymore. Everything was just getting to be a bit much for you and you had had enough of his games. Wiping the last traces of tears from your eyes, you inhaled quickly before exhaling and nodding your head. "Yes." More silence filled the room as you and Ashton stared back at each other, both of your eyes coated with tears before he finally slumped forward in defeat. Running a hand through his unruly hair, Ashton nodded sadly. "I'll be gone in the morning."
Calum: "I was with someone." Your heart felt like it had dropped into the pit of your stomach as you stared at the dark haired boy across the room, your chest tightening - the signal that the tears were going to come at any minute. "You - what?" Your voice broke and your lip quivered as you looked at Calum brokenly, your hands balling into fists at your sides. "Baby, I swear, she meant nothing!" His voice was pleading as he now stood directly in front of you, his big eyes widened as he tried to grab your hand put you pulled away from him. "Don't touch me," you seethed, glaring at him and backing away from his tall frame. "Y/N, please," Calum pleaded, taking another step towards you. "I was just worked up about us fighting and I didn't know what to do and she was just there and I had a few beers, I just - Baby, please, I'm so sorry." Calum's voice was borderline hysterical now; your back was now pressed against the wall and Calum's hands were pressed on it by either side of your head, trapping you. "Just because you had a few drinks doesn't give you a reason to cheat on me, Cal!" You yelled, your walls crumbling down by the second as you tried to compose yourself. "While you were busy fucking that girl," your voice was venomous and Calum squirmed underneath your gaze. "I was busy sitting here crying and waiting for you to come home so I could tell you how sorry I was for starting that stupid fucking fight in the first place." By this point the sobs that you had fought to keep in were now fully escaping your lips, your hand coming up to cover your mouth as an attempt to muffle them. "Y/N, I'm so sorry." Calum's voice came from above you and one of his hands reached down, cautiously wrapping around your waist and pulling you into his chest. Hastily you pushed at his body, your fists banging on his chest as you broke down. Wrapping his arms around your frame, Calum let you hit him until you had finally calmed your sobs and breathing down. Once the house was completely silent, Calum looked down at you, his heart breaking at the sight of your tear stained face and watery eyes. Prying his arms off of you, you backed away from him and pointed towards the bedroom. "I want you to get your bags and go," you said sternly, and Calum stepped forward to say something but you held your hand up to stop him. "Don't -" you warned, your body starting to tremble. "Just go." Sighing in defeat, Calum cast one last glance at you before walking into the bedroom to pack his things, leaving you to break down in the living room once more.
Luke: Sadness and despair dwelled around the room as you and Luke sat on his bed, his hands twisted in your lap as you avoided his gaze. "You don't want me anymore?" Luke's voice shook with sadness as he gazed at you brokenly, his once lively blue eyes now glazed over with sorrow. Sniffling, you lifted your head to look at him, your eyes widening in horror at his words. "No, no, Luke, I do want you." Grasping the sides of his face, you made him look right into your eyes, both of your eyes watery as the two of you choked back sobs. "I'll always want you, baby," you whispered, your thumbs wiping away the tears that escaped his eyes. "But do you know what I want the most?" Luke shook his head, his hands coming up to grasp your wrists gently. "What?" He asked, his lips forming into a frown. "I want you to be happy, Luke," you said quietly. "I want you to go live your dream without anything holding you back. I'm not going to be that thing - I refuse to be it." Shaking his head, Luke opened his mouth to say something but you cut him off. "Don't even try to fight me on this, Luke. I want you to go out there and live your life like there's no tomorrow. I want you to find a girl who can give you everything I can't." Your lip quivered as you leaned forward to rest your forehead against his. "Do you understand me?" Swallowing his tears, Luke nodded, his nose brushing against yours as he gripped the sides of your face. Leaning forward, he connected your lips in a desperate kiss, his hand moving to the back of your neck to hold you in place before he pulled away, a choked whimper emitting from his throat as he reached out for you when you pulled away from his body. "I'll be back for you," he said quietly, looking you dead in the eye. "I don't care what you say, Y/N, I will be back for you whether you like it or not and you know why? Because I love you and I refuse to let you go easily." Smiling sadly at the blonde, you squirmed out of his grip and grabbed your jacket from next to him. Running a hand gently through his hair, you wiped away the tear that was dripping down his cheek. "Bye, Luke," you whispered, wiping away your tears before walking to his bedroom door. Looking back at him for the last time, you bit your lip to stop yourself from telling him that you loved him and that this was a mistake but you knew that you had to let him go. Gripping the doorknob, you twisted it and opened the door, your vision blurred by the tears rolling down your cheeks as you walked out of his house.
Michael: "I don't think we should see each other anymore." The sentence still echoed around the room as you and Michael stared blankly at one another. Anger pitted in your stomach as you stared at his lifeless exterior, your jaw slacking slightly as your fists balled at your sides. "And why is that?" You asked, venom dripping off of every word. Michael merely shrugged, his feet kicking at the floor as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. Your eyes narrowed at him, your mouth curling into a snarl as you pointed an accusing finger at him. "Don't give me that shit, Michael," you said menacingly, glaring at the skunk haired boy. "We both know what this is about." Michael squinted accusingly at you, his lips pursing as he crossed his arms across his chest. "And what exactly is this about, Y/N?" Sarcasm dripped off his every word as he stared at you expectantly. "You're scared." Scoffing, Michael threw his head back and laughed loudly. "Scared of what?!" He asked exasperatedly, uncrossing his arms and leaning his weight onto his right foot. "Falling in love!" You yelled, and Michael went quiet. "You're too afraid to take a chance to fall in love because you don't want to risk getting hurt, so instead you end it before there's even a possibility of you getting heartbroken." He remained quiet, your eyes still locked on each other as a smirk formed on your face. Walking closer to him, you poked his chest tauntingly. "What's wrong, Michael?" Your eyes stayed locked on his green ones, never once backing down as you circled around him. "Hate that I'm right? Are you scared that there's someone out there who cares about you as much as you care about them?" Growling, Michael grabbed your hips and pushed you against the wall, his eyes blazing angrily as he gritted his teeth. "You don't know shit about me, Y/N. You can act like you do but you don't, stop kidding yourself." Glaring at him, you leaned in closer towards him. "I'll stop kidding myself when you grow a pair of balls and stop being afraid." Pushing him away from you, you shrugged and grabbed your jacket. I'm not afraid," he denied, and you scoffed at him. "Keep telling yourself that, Clifford." Tossing your hair over your shoulder, you cast one last glance at him before opening the door and slamming it behind you. From the window, Michael watched you walk away with a frown on his face, his heart feeling like it dropped into his stomach. Deep down he knew that you were right, he knew that everything you said was true; he was afraid.
