Niall and I live together in a rather big flat in London, and everything is going quite good. I'm sitting on our couch now, watching some random show, waiting for Niall to come home. I was seriously getting into it, when I heard the door open.
"Babe! I'm home!" I heard Niall yell, and I get up to greet him. He throws his stuff to the side, and we wrap our arms around each other. As I pull back, he kisses me, and I smile.
"I missed you today." He says while looking into my eyes.
"I missed you too. It was quiet without you." He smiled too, but I could see in his eyes that something was up. I decide to let him rest a bit, and if he's still bothered, I'll try to talk to him.
"I'm feeling like a take-out and DVD night, how about you?" I ask still wrapped up in his arms. He gives me a genuine smile, and we kiss again.
"Have I mentioned how much I seriously love you?" He asks snuggling his face into my neck.
"I think so." I reply giggling.
"Now go get yourself into something comfy, and I'll order Chinese." I say, and slap his butt, sending him to our bedroom to change. He laughs, and he sounds a lot better, but I still feel like something is bothering him. I order Chinese, and arrange a few DVD's for Niall to choose from.
"Hey Niall! Bring down some blankets and stuff!" I shout from the living room.
"Okay!" He shouts back, and I go to the kitchen to get some snacks. Living with Niall does have some serious perks, for one, there are always snacks. It still surprises me how much guys his age can eat. I lay the snacks on the coffee table, and Niall still isn't down. I am a little confused as to what was taking him so long, so I yell to him.
"Niall! Are you still coming?!" I yell. I hear his voice crack as he yells back, "In a minute!"
I just drop everything, and run up the stairs to go see what's wrong. I open our bedroom door to find Niall standing near the window, with his eyes red and puffy. Niall was not one to cry, so I know something big was seriously bothering him.
"Oh Niall." I sigh, walking over to comfort him. He seems reluctant about my presence at first, but when I am a few feet away, he opens his arms, and let me comfort him. As soon as I wrap my arms around his back, I can feel him brake down. We stand like that for a minute or two, and then I speak up.
"Do you want to tell me what's bothering you?" I ask him softly. I hear another sob coming from him, and I just rub his back again.
"The food will be here soon, so how about we go downstairs, watch a movie, and eat lots of stuff, and then we can talk when you're ready, ok?" I suggest. He nods, and I let go, pulling back to look at his face. I lay a hand on his cheek, and wiped a tear away. "It will be ok babe, I promise. You can talk to me anytime ok?" I say looking into his eyes. He nods again, and places a shaking hand over the one I had on his cheek. I hug him again, and as I pull back this time, I lace our fingers together, and pull him downstairs.
As we sit down, the doorbell rings and I get up to get the food. Niall smiles slightly when he sees I got quite a lot of food, and I return the smile. He sits with his feet propped up on the coffee table, and I sit crossed legged next to him. When I am done with my food, I stand up and got each of us a beer, so Niall could relax a little bit. I let him lay his head on my lap when I start the movie, and not even halfway in, he is fast asleep. I continue running my fingers through his hair, and watch the rest of the movie.
When it finishes, I slowly replace my lap with a pillow, so I can clean up before getting him to bed. When I am done, I kneel at the couch, and stroke his cheek with my fingers.
