Niall: He doesn't respond to you. He's afraid he'll hurt you again. He's afraid of leading you on. He's afraid that the two of you will never be the same. No matter how many times you told him that you were fine, he would never believe you, and he shouldn't. You weren't fine. You weren't okay. To say you were heartbroken would be an understatement. But, he never meant to hurt you. What you needed most was to think, clearly. You needed time for yourself, to understand and process what happened. He knows. He understands, so he keeps his distance from you. Distance from him was what you needed right now. Distance from drama. Distance from reality. Distance from him.

Zayn: You hold on to his hand right before he had to go through security. You tighten your grip as you finally realized that he was leaving you again. You felt him giving you a light squeeze on the hand, as if were a signal to tell you it was time. He looked into your eyes, wiping your tears away with his thumb and gave you a long awaited kiss. The kiss you'd have to cherish for the next several months. He took a long look at you, trying to savor every last second before making his way through. He kept his back faced to you at the distance, knowing how much it would hurt you to see him cry too.

Liam: He wanted to catch up, for old time's sake. It had been a while since he last saw you, and you've changed since then. No longer were you the open and social girl he knew, no longer were you the light hearted girl who never took anything seriously. You were no longer the wide smile girl he saw in the photographs of the two of you when you were little. You became more reserved and more cautious with the people you trusted. You built a wall because people had taken advantage of you. He realizes that you've changed, that you've became more.....distant.

Harry: He calls you in the middle on the night, unaware of the time difference. He asks how you've been, how your day was, and what you did. That's what you loved about him, how genuinely caring he was. He was always interested about you. He tells you about his experience, and how he wished you came with him. He tells you about his travels, and the pictures he has to show you when he come back home. He updates you about the boys and what they have been doing. He tells you that he misses home, he misses you. It hits him while he's talking to you, that the distance between the two of you had made his heart grow fonder.

Louis: He was never one who believed in long distance relationships. He thought the idea was pointless if the two people could never see each other. He doubted that kind of commitment would exist. In the back of his mind he knew people were weak and they would cave in, so he never wanted one. But you made him re-evaluate that. You made him realize that not all people are cheaters, that some people were committed. You made him realize the importance of trying to work things out because it was too much to let go. You made him realize the importance of long distance relationships, because no matter how far the two of you were, his heart belonged to you.
