I was going through my fears and this time the snakes were biting me
" This isn't real "
I knew I was in bed with Eric on top of me and I was only in my head then I went through and I woke up and said
" I got it "
He groaned
" you got what "
He was even more on top of me then when we fell asleep
" I know how to deal with the test "
" good now stay still "
he said with his eyes still closed. I laughed a little and ran my fingers up and down his arm leaving raised bumps behind. Eventually, he gave up on trying to get back to sleep and looked at me then got up and went into the bathroom. I put on my shoes and left when I got back to the bunks some people were starting to get up so I just got ready. Today it was optional to go through your fears or not most people didn't want to but a few of us did so we made our way there. The door opened and a guy walked out and there was no one els in the waiting room and he said
" Why do you always want to go last "
I shrugged and went in.

I took a deep breath and sat forward and Eric looked at me
" How did you do that "
Nothing
" How did you decrease your time by half ... is this what you meant earlier "
I smiled and said
" yeah I got it "
A smile appeared on his face
" yes you do "
The door opened and the smile fell and it was Four
" what "
He said
" Are your people ready for the final test in two days "
" yes "
Four just looked at us
" anything else "
He said clearly annoyed
" no "
He left and I said
" two days that's all we have left "
" yeah "
He sounded sad
" you'll pass though I know it "
He flashed me a smile but I could see the uncertainty in his eyes
" We aren't going to practice anymore today was the last day before the test "
" ok "
I got up and walked out leaving him there deep in thought. I found Tess
" We only have two days left "
" I'm so nervous "
" me too but you know the three of us got this "
She looked down at the ground moving a small rock around
" hey you know what I haven't tried the cake so how about after the test the three of us go and have some then join the others for the party that they'll no doubt have "
She smiled and looked up at me
" deal "
" hey let's go look at clothes "
" yeah "
" you know for being from Candor you suck at telling the truth "
" that's why we left "
She laughed and I said
" yeah I'm far from peaceful "
" ya think "
I put my arm around her neck and started to walk to the small clothing shop. It was nice to do something that was fun and took our minds off the test we tried on different things and we even got the worker to laugh because of how stupid we were acting.
