Happy With You [] Oikawa x Reader

The new routine

(Y/N) POV

After Iwaizumi caught up, the three of us made my our way back to my house. When we got there, It was Oikawa's turn to entertain the puppies before my parents got home (since Oikawa was in a bad mood most of yesterday, besides our walk, he hasn't been able to have some quality time with them yet.)

In the living room...

Iwa and I happily sat on the outside porch while we watched Oikawa play with the 8 fur-babies in the backyard. Oikawa would serve dog ball across the yard, and the puppies would wobbly run after it and return it. Although, there were a couple times when the puppies would forget to give the ball back, so Oikawa would have to chase after them and steal it back.

After a while, I heard a car pull into the driveway. "Dang it, my parents are already here," I groaned and texted my parents saying we were in the backyard.Not long after, my parents pushed open the porch door and greeted us:

"Hey guys! How are all of you?" my mom spoke kindly.

"Hi boys!" my dad chirped before facing me, "What's up, Dork?"

"Your blood pressure" I joked back. My dad choked for a second before giving me a hug. "Mom. Dad. This is Iwaizumi Hajime, and the boy running over is Oikawa Tooru."

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. (L/n)! It's nice to meet you." Iwa smiled. My parents joyfully chatted with Iwa as Oikawa made his way over with the puppies stumbling behind him.

"And how are you Oikawa?" my dad asked warmly when he arrived.

"Im great! Thanks for asking. I heard you guys were in Tokyo, how was it?"

The four of them talked for a long ass time--completely ignoring me. Like everyone else, my parents also became victims of their undeniable charisma, especially Oikawa's. The boy's had them laughing at all their jokes and their full attention when they talked about their volleyball club. In fact, as the pair described their volleyball journey, I found myself honestly impressed.

The boys said their goodbyes, and my mother informed them they were always welcome to come over. Once inside, I sat and listened to my mom gush about how happy she was now that she knows I befriended such great boys while my dad drove the puppies to their new home. Me too, mom.

The following school week...

(Y/N) POV

Sunday went as planned: I basically just caught up with my parents and their trip the whole day. Unfortunately, the week did as well. As I expected, the two boys were extremely busy.

Now that Oikawa was cleared, we stopped using the elevator in the mornings. During lunch, Oikawa and Iwaizumi would meet with teachers for help to make sure their gpa's kept them eligible for club activities. After school, the two would obviously have practice. Nonetheless, whenever I saw them, I made sure to catch up with them and see how they were.

The one good thing about this is that it forced me to further branch out. Conveniently, many people were eager to meet me since they took notice of my sudden closeness with the volleyball captain. I found myself getting to know a ton of people: I met the rest of the boys volleyball team, the girls team, the basketball team, and many other students. Some people were clearly snakes while others were actually pretty kind and amusing. However, I didn't click with anyone as well as I did with Oikawa.

3rd person POV (in this POV im going to use first names bc i think its cute idk ʕノ•ᴥ•ʔノ)

Throughout the week, students of Aoba Josai have been flocking to a certain new girl to see why their pedestaled Oikawa Tooru has taken such an interest in her. For example...

On Monday's Welcome Back assembly, Tooru made a group of fangirls move down so (F/n) could sit next to him. Along with that, people were surprised to see the pair quietly giggling to themselves throughout the assembly as they lazily tried to catch the flinks floating through the air.

On Tuesday, Tooru almost ran over multiple people in the hallways as he chased (F/n) down for pushing his head into the stream of the water fountain when he was drinking.

On Wednesday, the captain of the basketball team, was greeted by a surprise in his locker during lunch. The surprise being (F/n).
CONTEXT: At the beginning of lunch, Tooru and (F/n) ran into each other. After some jokes and competitive comments about wether or not the (h/c) girl could fit in a locker, Tooru convinced the girl to climb into 'his' locker to prove it. He closed the door and ran off saying it was 'payback for yesterday.'

On Thursday, (F/n) ignored Tooru the entirety of their math class. This caused the infamous boy to be grumpy and apathetic of his fangirls that day.

On Friday, (F/n) and Tooru put their differences aside and sat behaved with each other in the Library during lunch since the boy had no teacher meetings that day. She kept the boy company as he wrote welcome letters to the 1st years joining the volleyball club. Iwaizumi, Matsukawa, and Hanamaki ended up joining the pair and helping out.

When the students met (Y/n), they expected someone as arrogant as Oikawa, but they were surprised to meet a laid back and easygoing girl.
