Oikawa's Wish

I glanced at the road before swiftly searching my glovebox to grab a pair of sunglasses. Although I was actually thrilled that it was sunny today, It was currently corrupting my view of the road as I drove. The fact that it was sunrise didn't help too much either. I put on the sunglasses and looked at my rearview mirror. In it, I saw Oikawa sound asleep across the back seats.

This weekend, Oikawa wanted to hang out together since Iwa-chan was in Tokyo with his family. We are on our way to go visit a popular shrine here in Miyagi. I haven't gone sightseeing yet since I moved, so when Oikawa offered me to be my tour guide, I couldn't deny his puppy eyes. We ultimately decided to make a full day of adventuring. Getting up early, packing a cooler, and everything.

However, after about 5 minutes of driving, Oikawa crawled into the back of my car to take a nap. I had a cheap minivan as my starter car just in case I got into a crash. Oikawa's head was snuggled on top of the tangle of his arms while his legs were all sprawled out across the row of seats. His hair tufts perfectly framed his head despite the single strand that decided to be #unique and stand straight up. What I found the cutest was how he periodically let out an ever so quietly snore.

As I was busy admiring Oikawa's charming form, a car suddenly cut me off. It merged into my lane right in front of me and without a signal. OH SHIT. Feeling overwhelmed by panic, I slammed my horn and hit the brakes. There is literally one other car on the road, and you decide to merge HERE?!

As my car suddenly slowed to avoid the car crash, Oikawa's body simultaneously crashed into the back of the front seats. "GAH, FUCK!" he grunted. I felt my seat get knocked forward. Luckily, he immediately sprung back up and plopped himself into shotgun before promptly buckling up. "(L/n)-chan, what the hell just happened?" His hair was now all messily floofed up, and his cheeks were painted red from adrenaline.

I sweatdropped and glued my eyes back onto the road, "I totally got cut off... thanks for taking one for the team." As I spoke, the car that nearly ran into me slowed down as well and skipped into the lane next to us again. The car became parallel with my own, and the person inside rolled down the window to reveal a very intimidating middle-aged man staring at me. Oikawa and I just stared back with blank expressions. I would talk back, but his intimidating presence had both Oikawa and I entranced. Next, he started revving up his engine challenging the two of us to a race. I immediately snapped out of it, "I'm gonna stop you right there, Mister. Just what about a minivan just screams drag race?" Right when I finished speaking, the guy just rolled his eyes and zoomed away at very illegal speeds. [A/N this actually happened to me yesterday when I went to buy printer ink. I don't know how to feel about it (°ロ°)]

The rest of the drive was rather peaceful. We jammed to music while I drove. I kept one hand on the wheel because Oikawa was busy futzing with my other hand. His fingers lightly traced the palm of my hand as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. He even managed to sneak in another nap as I drove. This time, however, he still gently held my hand as he slept. Since he was asleep, I didn't have to worry about the big ass blush invading my face. The way I could feel his soft breaths just sent me.

Luckily, Oikawa woke up soon to regain my company. "Oh, perfect!" He began, "Hey, (L/n)-chan, can you take the next exit? I want to show you something before the shrine. Especially because the sun is still rising."
