Let's get it!

[Insert knock knock jokes here]

Hanamaki POV

At the library...

I was currently walking towards the library with Hajime and Matsun: As the new third years, we collectively decided to write welcome letters for the first years joining the club. Upon our arrival, we unsurprisingly saw Tooru being kept in the company of a girl. Oddly enough, she wore an oversized sweatshirt over her uniform. It's not weird, just unusual. I mean- fangirls usually try to wear as little clothing possible around Tooru...

The three of us walked up to the pair, and I was surprised to see Hajime ask to kindly towards the dumb-chick. He came up behind her and threw her hood over her head, "Sup lazy-chan," he said quietly. Tooru blindly reached back and gave Hajime a fist bump while the girl turned away from her notes and waved at us with a smile. Oh wait! That's the new girl Tooru has a crush on! Huh, so she's the one responsible for driving him crazy. We waved back and joined them at the table: Tooru and Hajime sandwiched the new girl on one side, while Matsun and I sat across.

Tooru was finishing up his note and starting his second, while I was settling in. We had 5 first years joining, so Iwa, Makki, and I would only have to write one letter. When I was all set, Tooru passed me an empty letter with the name, Akira Kunimi written on it. Kunimi... which one were you... Oh! The one that looked like a kitten! After matching the face to the name in my head, I began to write:

Hey Kunimi-chan,
It's your boy, Hanamaki-Senpai. Let's do each other a solid, mkay? I'm being forced to write this letter, so I'm just going to pretend to write. As a reward for sparing you from reading, when you get this at practice today, just pretend my letter was really inspiring.
-Makki

Once I was done writing, I pretended to write as I watched the new girl from the corner of my eyes. I couldn't help my eyes from wandering down... That's when I noticed one of her hands subtly form a peace sign on the table. At the same time, I saw Tooru shake his hand into a fist to which he tapped her peace sign with. A few seconds later, they slyly shook their hands again. This time, the (h/c) haired girl made a fist, and Tooru placed a flat hand on top of hers. I rolled my eyes at them and looked over at Hajime and Matsun. Unfortunately, they seemed to be preoccupied writing. After a while, the letters were finished, and we decided to head outside to talk before we had to leave for practice.

We sat outside the gym, and chatted. The rumors were true: (L/n) definitely was fun to talk to. Her personality was just so magnetic. Our conversation rattled about random stuff until we came to the topic on what our 3rd Year Prank should be.

"We should team up with another school and swap 3rd years for a day," Hajime suggested.

"That will be hard because we would need to make sure everyone has someone to swap with, and others schools are genuinely smaller than ours," Tooru responded.

"He's right," Matsun, started, "we should release crickets into the school."

(L/n) looked excited at that before pouting, "That's good, but we would also have to live through their annoying chirping for the rest of the year, and teachers might not allow us to eat in classrooms because of that."

I spoke after her, "yeah, we should all just skip school."

"Makki, that's just ditch day, and we are doing that in addition to our prank," Tooru informed, and the others nodded in agreement.

"Jeez okay," I spoke sorely.

"Whatever we do, we should have a 3rd year only tailgate party during lunch. We can all cook out in the parking lot, and someone should bring a portable ping pong table or something," Offered (L/n).

"Hey yeah that's smart. We definitely should do that with our prank," Matsun supported.

"We can discuss later. Practice will start soon," Tooru informed. He then turned to (L/n), "I can walk you to the parking lot to where your bike is if you want." The girl smiled and nodded, and they childishly hooked arms and raced away.

"Is that really our Shittykawa?"

"mhm"

(Y/n) POV

"Slow down! My arm is going to fall off!" I cried out. Not only was Oikawa taller than me, he was much faster than me, so running with hooked arms was a challenge for me. Thankfully, he slowed down, and I unhooked our arms. We comfortably walked in silence until we reached my bike. Then, I felt eyes looking at me. I unsurprisingly met a pair of chocolate brown eyes, as turned to face my befriended 6ft glob of adorableness next to me. His eyes softly gazed at my own for a little before he threw me the signature smirk. I looked at him confused.

I've caught him staring at me quite frequently the past two days. In his defense, he has caught me doing the same. Damn and I've only been here for a week. I don't know why, but looking at his eyes is super soothing and somehow reassuring.

Our eyes kept contact, and I felt my body melt into it. My mind was both racing while the outside world was in slow-motion. My body numbed and felt as light as a feather. Oikawa moved a hand up and cupped my cheek as he started to lean down. This was happening both way too fast and way too slow. His lips were only a few inches away when he stopped. Last time, at the last second, he ended up giving me just a kiss on the forehead. To prevent that from happening again, right before he was about to pull away, I leaned upwards and closed the gap between our lips. He immediately kissed back and snaked his other hand around my waist. The kiss was long, tender, sweet, and full of affection.

I pulled away, rested my hands at the side of his neck. I already felt the enormous blush invade my face. Oikawa's hand that was holding my cheek now ruffled my hair, and he gave me a big toothy grin before sweat dropping, "we can just say this was a friendly kiss." I grinned and nodded, relieved we were on the same page. No confessions. No dating. Just a kiss or two- what's the harm?

Immediately after my response, Oikawa brought me in for another kiss. This kiss was filled with more excitement: Oikawa now hand both hands around my waist, and I tangled my fingers in his hair. His lips were so soft and minty, they were addicting. Oikawa moved back and placed many tiny butterfly kisses on my cheek before pulling away fully. I smiled and petted his hair, "You should go to practice."

He nodded and stepped back. He waited for me to get all set, before walking away, "Thanks for the friendly kisses!" He cooed as I started pedaling away.
