Before the Aoba Johsai boy's volleyball practice began, I decided to swing by the court for some last minute encouragement for my dentist appointment later today: my wisdom teeth removal. "Oh boy. Oh shit. Oh no. I just know im gonna make a clown out of myself. You know what? For personal reasons, I will be passing away."

"(Y/n)-chan relax. They have to remove your wisdom teeth because you'll get too smart if they stay in."

"Oiks, I- no. I don't think that's how it works."

In reply, Oikawa nudged my shoulder as the two of us sat on the curb right outside the gym. "No shit Sherlock, Im just trying to make you feel better. Im no foreigner-"

"Hey (Y/n)-chan, Shittykawa." my head swiveled to find Iwa rounding the corner to meet us at the gym doors. A he walked towards us, Makki and Matsun soon appeared from around the same corner, all three of them fresh in their practice clothes like Oikawa.

Oikawa faced them. "(Y/n)'s worked up about her wisdom teeth extraction," he explained, ruffling my hair.

I frowned in return, "I'm just scared for the aftermath! My parents are gonna take care of me!"

Iwa-chan raised an eyebrow as he took a seat next to me. "Uh, that's a good thing though, right?"

My face deepened further into a look of despair, "what if I say something really dumb or embarrassing?"

"(Y/n)-chan, you act like you don't already do that on a regular basis," Oikawa chirped with a smirk. I deadpanned and tried to stand up, but Oikawa immediately slung an arm around me before turning to slouch back on me, pressing me down. "Im just teasing you!" Now, since Oikawa laid on me with his back pressed against my chest, I loosely wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Shittykawa will be at your house though to watch you too right?" Iwa asked.

Oikawa glared at Iwa-chan for a moment before nodding. "Yeah im gonna head over house after practice."

Matsun peeped his head into the conversation, "Hey, (Y/n). What's your favorite candy? We'll get you some."

My face softened, "you guys don't have to give me anything. I'll be fine. Besides, I wont be able to eat any hard food. Only soft things."

Makki's face lit up. "Ha! good thing Oikawa's your boyfriend," he murmured.

I choked, "i-"

"Shut it!" Oikawa barked. "Also, Isn't it your turn to set up the net's?"

Matsun chuckled, "yeah yeah. I'll go. (Y/n)... good luck? Im not sure what to say to someone before surgery, so, don't die I guess."

I grinned, "thanks, but you won't get rid of me that easily."

Iwa-chan followed suit, "I should help him. See you later (Y/n)." Makki followed suit and I waved them goodbye. Next I turned to face Oikawa, who decided to stay outside with me a moment longer.

I smiled up at him. Oikawa scrunched his nose and sat back up before mirroring my smile. "Still scared?" he asked.

I sighed and leaned against his shoulder. "A little," I muttered, fidgeting with his white knee brace.

Oikawa took this opportunity to lean over and kiss my temple. "You'll be fine. In fact, I don't even think the aftermath will be too bad. It's not like you'll get that messed up from general anesthesia." Oikawa soothed while further leaning down. I scoffed as the setter placed affectionate goodbye kisses on my cheek and lips.
