The beginning part 2 chapter 2

Maria's POV

As I'm in math class clearly bored out of my mind a piece of paper hits my head I look and pick it up and open it read hi I'm Eddie nice to meet you new girl.... I look at him saying "my name is maria not new girl and it's nice to meet you to." Hearing the teacher say my name I turn around and begin to work on the class work that was given. My mind wonders off to Eddie he's really cute and his blue eyes are gorgeous and his smile is breathtaking .

Turning to the side I glance at him a bit to see him working and once again my mind wonders off thinking about him and I smile . I stop and think I need to stop thinking about a guy i don't even know I have a boyfriend and his name is Kevin . The bells rings and I pack up my stuff and head to my next class which is 11th grade ap English . Not watching where I'm going I bump into a girl " I'm so sorry I should have been watching where I was going " hearing the girl laugh " haha it's ok no biggie I'm Sara and you must be the new girl school right " picking up my stuff standing up I look up saying " Yea and my name is maria its nice to meet you " Sara says " its nice to meet you to and what is your next class girly "knowing I have like 2 min to get to class I quickly tell her 11th grade ap English" turning away running down the hall I see a huge sign saying English going passed two doors I go into the room finding a seat to sit in .

I sigh happy I made it in time before the bell rung . Looking at all the students who are coming in I see Sara and Eddie walk in talking . Seeing him I get butterflies next thing I know I hear " hey girly" in my ear I turn and its Sara . Waving at her saying " I'm sorry I ran so fast back there I wanted to be on time for class since it's my first say you know . Sara nodding saying " Yea I know no worries wanna sit with me at lunch today " I nodd saying " Yea thanks I'd like to " smiling I made a friend .

The teacher introduced herself to me I figured out her name was Mrs. Lockheart and she was my favorite so far. English class ended pretty fast maybe considering I'm a master at English .

Packing my stuff up I look down at my schedule and see I have chemistry next . I hate chemistry I hate it with a passion because it's hard like I'm never gonna use chemistry in life anyways so what's the point in having it I think in my head. Sighing in annoyce I found the class and entered it .

Sitting down taking my stuff out for chemistry. Doodling on a piece of paper the teacher walks in I introduce myself knowing I'd hate this teacher he has a horrible attitude but I keep my cool. Mr.colemen has assigned us partners hearing everyone groan he pairs us all together I hear him say " maria and Eddie you both are chemistry partners for today and tomorrow " I look at him to see him smiling at me already I return the smile.

" How old are you miss maria " I look up at Eddie and tell him " I'm 16 but turning 17 what about you " I hear him say " I'm 17 already" I look at him and say " no way" smiling but being playful. Hearing him laugh back he says " yes way "

I felt my back pocket vibrate and its a text from Kevin I'll be at your house after school ok baby girl
Maria: ok babe :) I miss you

Kevin: I know I miss you to baby and why did your mom switch your school

Maria: idk babe I forgot I'll tell you when I get out of school . getting another text from my mom I see it says I won't be home from work till 9:30 honey just letting you know

Putting my phone away the bell rung right just then saying " thank god" the class laughed no knowing they heard me but getting a glare from the teacher. Shrugging my shoulders oh well. Walking out going into the lunch room I see Sara waving at me I go over to the table. I smile and go over giving her a hug saying " hi" she happily says " hey so this is David and Eddie my two egg head friends " looking over I see a smiling Eddie " I say I already know Eddie and hello David it's nice to meet you " hearing a voice " nice to meet you to " I realize its David hearing another " no nice to meet you to Eddie huh ?" Laughing I say " naaa " looking at Eddie he sticks his tongue out at me and I do the same back.

Sara and I talk about everything and get to know each other I know she's has a family of 5 her parents , her two brothers then her being the youngest and she knows its just me and mom considering my dad left because he's in the military . I've had the rest of my classes with her a David so after the long day of school I walked home.

It was pretty cold here in Cali right now so thank the lord I wore a sweater today . I walk down the street and make a right at the corner seeing my house . I see a black BMW and I know Kevin is there . Running to my house I see him get out the car. He's smiling and picks me up and pecks my lips putting me down and I hold on to his hand unlocking my the door and walking in with Kevin. I hear him say " how was school " I tell him " good its was great I made friends quick " smiling at him but I notice something is up with him.

I go up and ask " what's wrong " with w worried look. I hear him say " nothing is wrong " obviously I know he's lying because his hand is shaking. I ask again only to be smack across the face. I hear him yell " WHY DID YOU GET SWITCHED OUT HUH " flinching back I stand up and try to explain but he just keeps yelling " SHUT UP I DONT WANNA HEAR IT MARIA" after another slap there next was a punch I cried out and pain and yelled for him to stop to only have him hurt me some more .

Finally he stopped and left after he told me to never tell anyone about this . I agreed. My mother would be upset so upset and I didn't want that. After standing up walked up the stairs in pain and just cleaned up myself to only gasp.

My eyes is purple and my lip my busted I have a bruise on my arm and on my stomach I have a few scratches on my face as well. Looking at my house I cleaned up the best I could. I took a quick shower changing into some sweats and a huge t shirt I layed down saying " why did he do this to me " a tear slipping down my cheek I looked at the time and it was 5:40 I got out of school at 3:15 .

I decided a nap would be good I Wondered is this the beginning of my life being hell . closing my eyes and drifting into a well needed nap.
