Deluge - 2jin

Prologue

Jeon Heejin at the age of 26 had everything anyone could ask for; she's the CEO of her own company, she's married to a very handsome lawyer, they live in a very rich neighborhood, their house is huge and they never get bored of each other no, not at all they've been married for 2 years. They met in college but they never really grew into each other until they both had the same class, he thought she was pretty and intelligent, she thought he was a jerk like every other men ever, but she started loving him and realized 'not all men are jerks'.

They had a luxurious wedding, his parents loved Heejin, the bride's parents were always traveling abroad so they didn't get to know her husband very well but they sure attended the wedding.

That same year Heejin founded her own company that was her dream since she was a little kid, growing up in a wealthy family and watching her father in this type of environment made her want to become like him.

Her husband was a lawyer, and of course both of them didn't spend too much time on the house they were gifted for their wedding. The only time they had for each other was at night.

Sometimes Heejin would be too tired to even talk to her husband.

Now the only issue between them is having a family. He is very patient with his wife but they've tried at least three times and all they got were miscarriages.

Heejin became very depressed because she felt like she failed as a woman even though her character was very strong and she's always standing with her head high now she was devastated.

One day her husband's cousin told her that there was a solution; she could pay for someone else to carry her baby, that there was a surrogate agency in Seoul.

Heejin and her husband talked about it a lot, in the end he was okay with it but always with his wife having the definite answer. The desire of Heejin to have a family was stronger than anything else so she decided to pay for a surrogate mother.

Kim Hyunjin wasn't fortunate enough, her family comes from a very humble background, she always dreamt of going to college and becoming a successful business woman but all of this broke to pieces when she was informed that her father, the only one that was providing food to her mom and herself was found dead.

It turned out that his father was robbed on the way home and she didn't let it happen so the thieves shot him.

She was in the last year of highschool when her mom had to work 24 hours to sustain her daughter, Hyunjin thought of getting a job as soon as she graduated because her mom was literally drained and would probably get sick if she continued this lifestyle. But a miracle happened and her uncle heard of the conditions his sister was living in and he helped them financially.

Hyunjin could go to college and pay for her subjects for at least the first two years, her mom didn't have to worry about not having food, her uncle was very kind to them.

Until one day he unfortunately couldn't sustain the two anymore, he had lost his job and with the money he had collected, planned to travel abroad and start a new life.

Now it was all in Hyunjin's hands.

She got a job as a waitress, then she offered to help clean the campus on the weekends, she even had an office job for a while but all of this wasn't enough to pay for her college subjects, she started to leave classes because she couldn't afford them anymore and she was worried about her mother too she's become very sick the past year.

She was desperate and money was running out. Hyunjin will have to let her dreams be just that... dreams. She will leave college and focus on working and buying her medicine to keep her healthy. One day in her economics class she overheard a conversation between two girls they were talking about a thing called surrogate... mother they said that it's well paid and Hyunjin just had to take a risk. They left a flyer in the ground and she picked it up it said you'd get paid $90,000 - $130,000.

Hyunjin just had to do this, she had no other option.

She went to the agency and asked for more information they told her that she had to be at least 21 years old and possibly no complications in her uterus; such as no previous surgery, and is specially asked for the woman to have had a pregnancy.

Hyunjin was a 22 year old virgin, she hasn't had a boyfriend or anything like that. She was now scared to do this, she understood the procedure of becoming a surrogate mother but would it affect her and her mom?

She went out of the agency with many little conformation cards and flyers.

Many many days passed and she talked about it with her mom and her reaction was not good. She screamed at her that if she did that she'd be a prostitute.

So Hyunjin was alone.

She had to take a decision... fast.

So she did it, even though her mom was against it, this was her last resort.

Kim Hyunjin, 22 years old, signed the papers in the agency to become a surrogate mother.
