27: Battle of shadows

It was a half hour before Tina woke up, she could hear the boys softly all talking to one another-which confused her. She swore it was just her and Kanato around. She also felt something against her only to look down to see Teddy against her chest, why did Kanato place Teddy on her? She knew how precious teddy was to him, so she sat up only for all of them to stop talking. Kanato went beside her and looked to her sadly.

"Tina...Tina I'm a failure, I couldn't protect you. I...I'm sorry. I should have been stronger." He said as tears came from his eyes

She knew they weren't fake, that his emotions were real, it was eating at him that what happened had fucked her over. She cupped his face in her hands and she kissed him on the lips. "Calm yourself Kanato dear, you are not a failure. You don't need to become stronger you are good as you are. The shadow we faced earlier wasn't a regular one."

His eyes widen. "I...It wasn't?"

"No love, it wasn't. What we faced...what I destroyed was the queen of the shadows. No doubt with the queen gone the others will make their way here too. Which means over a thousand of those assholes will be in the forest that surrounds this place, they'll be looking for me." Tina stated calmly

"So he wasn't a complete fuck up then." Zack stated

Tina looked towards where she heard his voice and looked at him straight in the eyes. "He isn't a fuck up, he used all of his mana to protect me and his home. He did all that he could even with his foolish brothers trying to help out. But unlike me, he can eat to renew his mana source. Now...can someone tell me why the hell you all are here for?"

"I can answer that." Sasori said calmly "Rico, Arthur and I felt a change in our magic, we knew something was wrong. So I came here to find out what. Low and behold you were out cold on a couch with barely and mana and your life in half. I healed you and I got from Kanato that you two fought a shadow from the Chaos realm here. He shouldn't have left alone with you, so I got the others. We're staying here until you're done with your business here Princess."

"Very well I'm not going to deny you boys, just...I hope you all are ready for a world of crazy that will ensue."

"I'm more than ready." Zack said with a grin "Just one question."

"What might that be?"

"What the fuck is with the four assholes that keep roaming around exterior of this room, it's pissing me the fuck off!"

She was confused on what he meant and she got up only to see that outside of the room was the Mukami brothers. "What the hell are you morons doing?"

"Waiting for you to get up." Yuma stated

"Why? Didn't I make it clear that I don't want you pieces of garbage near me?" Tina said unamused

"About that..." Kou said with a sigh

She crossed her arms. "What?"

Ruki went up to her and went onto on knee as he bowed to her. "I am severely sorry for what I had said to you, I didn't know you were the goddess of magic. I know you are the real deal and that what we said had made you feel insulted. We all wish to repent to you for what had happened earlier. Please will you forgive us?"

Tina looked at him before raising an eyebrow at him. "You cast don't you?"

"Yes ma'am."

"How? only those blessed with my wand from those families that I knew back when this world first started had magic."

"My father is the child of Jacob Oakheart."Ruki stated

Her eyes widen. "No shit...Well then. Stand."

He did and she placed her hands on her hips. "I will forgive the four of you if you will stand by those at my side in the next battle that will come to this place."

They all nodded their heads, Ruki smiled at her. "We'll do our best."

"That's all I ask. Get ready and alert me if you see the shadows."

"Yes ma'am." They said in unison before they rushed off.

She sighed before she went back inside. "Alright that's taken care of, those were four idiots that no doubt have been under Kanato's father's wing. Now...here's the plan. I want those four to take front. They won't stand and that will be their punishment for what they had called me when I was trying to go to the tea party that was rudely interrupted earlier." Tina said as she leaned her body against the wall

"So you're just going to kill them?" Arthur asked

"Yes, because anyone who thinks they are better than a goddess deserves death." Tina said seriously "They had the nerve to call me a 'worthless bratty human girl', a whore and a concubine. I refuse to forgive them, but instead of stripping Ruki of his magical bounds I'm having him prove his worthless life is worth something. But I'm not holding my breath."

Kanato chuckled a bit. "I love how you think Tina."

She smiled at him. "Thank you, I'm sorry our tea party had to be canceled."

"We can try again later right?"

She nodded her head. "Of course love."

At that time Kou came into the room. "Goddess Tina, uh...there's a shit ton of those shadow things out there just staring at this place."

"Where are your brothers?"

"Already out there waiting your command."

"Go to them, I'll be out soon."

He nodded his head and rushed off, tina sighed. "Well that was sooner than I thought. Well boys time to go kill Eric's creations ready to stand at my side?"

They all stood up. "Let's kill some bitches!" Zack said enthusiastically

She giggled. "Then let's go. Rico, Arthur, Sasori and Kanato stay by me. They feed off of magic so I'd like for us to be in one place."

Once they got outside she told the Mukami brothers to go first and her fiance's would follow after them. Instantly she was surrounded to be protected. Rico stood to her left, Sasori was behind her. Arthur was to her right and Kanato was in front of her while Zack stood between Kanato and Arthur, Karma stood between Rico and Sasori and Rogue was in front of Kanato with his Katana already out.
