45: Lanercost [The very last] Part two

Once Karma woke up he saw that he was back in control of his body but he wasn't in the throne room anymore, he was in an unknown area. He picked up his sword that was by him and frowned, he never wanted to harm Tina. But something made him do it. As he was in thought the door to the room opened and he saw Tina. He quickly got up but didn't advance her-he didn't trust himself to think that she'd actually be happy to see him.

"Good you're up. As of right now-I know the truth about what had happened here in Lanercost. Your family had taken the throne from the true royal family by a duel. So by a duel will it be again, this time it won't be just for the throne-it will be for the chance of being beside me. The man that you are about to duel is named Asano Gakushu, does it ring a bell to you?"

Karma's eyes widen in shock. "Yeah-he and I fought a lot in school. He never liked me and vise versa we were always at each others throats. So...I can't be beside you until I defeat him?"

"If you can defeat him, he has been trained by Eric. I highly doubt he'll lose."

"Eric...as in the pompous asshole who tried to kill you?! Are you fucking joking right now?! Please tell me that you're joking. He's going to set Asano up to kill you!"

She shook her head. "He has learnt his lesson and has asked for redemption, so that is what I gave him. He is no longer a god-but he has the strength and the honor of one. But you would have known all of that if you had taken control over your own damn fucking life. You're a grown fucking adult and it's about time you act like one instead of a pissy little rotten child who doesn't get to play with his favorite toy." Tina said harshly.

"Ouch...way to stab my ego Tina." Karma said sadly

"You need to be down graded, don't get cocky out there or you will lose your life. The duel will begin shortly, you better prepare yourself." Tina said before she left

When Tina left, she felt rather conflicted between the two males-what she never told Karma was that all of the others that he had traveled with save from Gaara were watching the duel with their kids. She would be watching from a seat on the side of the ring as Eric would be ref for the two of them. When she was sitting down she sighed stressed out before Eric called both males out, first Gakushu then Karma. Eric looked between the two of them before he spoke up.

"Here are the rules of this duel. Rule one; you two are to use only swords-that means no magic or any dirty tricks. Rule two; you two will be using one sword each, Rule Three; the first one out of the white ring around the two of you loses. Now you will have an hour to show what you are worth. Let the duel begin." Eric said before he moved out of the middle of the duo.

Karma instantly got his sword up to attack Gakushu-as he did Gakushu stood ready to take on whatever Karma gave him, Karma took that as his way of giving him the first strike. Gakushu stood his ground playing defense as he kept Karma at bay with every sword thrust that was made at him. Once Karma was almost out of breath Gakushu smirked and with one swift moment he knocked Karma out of the ring knocking him into the wall.

Gakushu glared at the red haired male. "I told you when we were in school that I would get you back for all of your hot shot words, now look at you. Just because you held the title of 'prince' doesn't mean you have what it takes. The goddess needs someone who can protect her without wavering their thoughts or actions. you have, which makes you one of the worst people to even be considered as a canidate to the goddess. Take your defeat and leave, the goddess will have someone better-stronger to keep her protected."

Karma got up with help from his sword before he panted as he looked to Tina. "How could you do this to me?!"

"I'm not the one who went against the arrangements that were put in place." Tina said with her arms crossed looking away from him.
