32:The Journey to Ascot

The next day Tina and Kanato said goodbye to his family before leaving out with the others. The walk was rather quiet until Tina stopped due to staring at Zack a bit curiously. Rico saw this and spoke up. "Goddess Tina, are you alright?"

She shook her head no, "I'm confused."

All of the boys looked at her, before Rogue spoke up. "What are you confused about?"

"Zack, you are legit the prince of Ascot yeah?" Tina asked

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Amberline's power should have gone to you. She was pregnant with her first child and didn't join with the others until her pregnancy was over with. It confuses me that you haven't had any magic like powers in you." Tina said as she walked up to him

She grabbed his scythe and threw it into a tree. "Give me your hands Zack, I need to figure out why you haven't been using the power I gave Amberline."

He groaned out but did as he was told placing his hands over hers.

"Good, now shut your eyes and relax."

He did what he was told before Tina did the same, she was able to see that he wasn't Amberline's offspring. She moved away from Zack as she looked up at him. "I understand now...something is wrong here. I need to figure out what went on after I left with that kingdom."

She then grabbed his scythe and handed it to him. "For now I'll have you at my side, but I don't know what'll happen when we get to the Kingdom of Ascot though." She said seriously before she walked on.

Zack was confused and rushed to keep up with her. "What does that mean?"

"Your family blood isn't the royal family blood that I knew before my departure from this place." She said seriously. "Amberline had twins before she came to where we had been in Lanercost, her power transferred to her children after she had saved the princess of Lancercost, which happened to be Lucy's only child. Something happened to the twins and I need to figure out what."

Karma heard this and went to the other side of her. "Are you saying that the queen of Ascot saved my grandmother?"

Tina nodded her head as she looked to Karma. "Yeah. I need to figure out what happened."

Zack scoffed. "From what I was told that family died out."

"I highly doubt that."

Tina was rather salty towards Zack and he was rather peeved about it. So peeved that he just left the group entire and went off on his own back home. Tina knew this and didn't take note of it, she had no reason to stop him the others were concerned about him though. It was Arthur who had commented on how Tina had been acting towards Zack.

"You're acting rather harsh towards Zack."

"I know, it's because his line doesn't have anything to do with the Ascot's. I know why Karma and Rogue don't have magic in them. Lucy never transferred her magic to her daughter or those unborn. And Harley died before she was able to have a first born, I had to personally find a different family to take over the kingdom of Haran, which happened to be the Cheney family. But I didn't grace them with magic because it wasn't necessary. Unlike with Karlhienz who needed something to protected himself against those who wished his death." Tina said honestly

Rogue and Karma looked to one another before they looked at her. "Is that why you never questioned us?" Karma asked

"Yes, Obviously the daughter of the ascot family married your father Karma, hence why you don't carry the ascot name and your last name it what it is. Unlike the Cheney family who has ever only ever birthed males...I know what I was getting myself into by being around the two of you."

"And what of me Princess, my surname isn't the same as my predecessor." Sasori asked

"That's easy, Marcus had a wife who he loved dearly. He was one of the three that survived, he transferred his power to the offspring of his children like any smart caster should do. Your grandfather had two daughters, one of them had died before she became of age as the other married your father. With then they birthed you, which is why you have the power you do with the surname you do. I can tell you're Marcus's offspring due to your eyes and facial features." Tina explained

"I see...so what do you believe happened with the ascot family?" Sasori asked

"The Fosters killed the reining family and with it the magic power that was once in the Ascot family couldn't be passed down." Tina said firmly "But I don't know the truth, I don't want to go on assumptions here so I will wait until we get there to figure out what truly happened."

The boys were all quiet for a bit before Rico looked at Tina. "Goddess, if you'd allow it I'd like to be able to rewind time in that place to figure out what happened."

She rose an eyebrow at him. "Do you think you have the power to do so Rico?"

He nodded his head firmly. "Yes."

"Very well then, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. When we get there you will be able to do what you wish. I won't hold you back from finding the truth out."

Rico smiled at her. "Thank you for trusting me Goddess Tina, I won't let you down."

That night Tina didn't sleep, she couldn't with what she felt tugging at her mind and heart, something just didn't feel right. As she watched the night sky she heard her phone go off for the first time in a while. She saw that it was her sister and smiled before answering it.

"Evening Tyche, How may I help you?"

"Hey Tina, listen Eric has been stripped of his god like powers and was forced to live in that place. I don't know where Zeus placed him but please be careful. I wouldn't want any of the boys near you to turn on you."

Tina sighed out. "That might be a problem, Zack left on his own. He's pissed that I am questioning him since he doesn't have any features of those from the Ascot family. I don't know what is going on but he isn't from that family."

"Oh dear...I really hope you know what you're doing Tina, he wields a freakin' scythe like a grim reaper. He'll kill your ass if you aren't careful."

"I have two wonderful males who know how to kick his ass plus four casters who can deal with him, I'm not afraid of him." Tina said seriously

Tyche sighed out before she spoke once more. "If you say so sis, I just want to warn you."

"Thanks for the warning but it won't be nessa."

Tina then hung up as she looked towards the Ascot kingdom "What's going on here, I wasn't expecting so much emotional shit when I came back here."

As it turned to morning she made breakfast for the lot of them before they were back to walking towards Ascot once more. As they got to Ascot a day later instantly Tina could feel that something was wrong. "Rico, come. We have work to do together. Boys I need you to stay out here for a moment. I don't want you to get hurt."

"Like hell we are! We're going to protect you!" Kanato said seriously

She groaned out. "Fine, but be out of sight." She said seriously

Rico and her then rushed off together until they reached the gates of the castle. Zack was guarding it with his scythe with a familiar red haired male beside him. "Eric what the hell are you doing here?!"

"Hello Tina, it seems like you're a bit too late getting here. This boy here won't listen to you, he'll only listen to me. I've had a few days to talk heart to heart with this fellow and his hatred got the better of him. Now he'll work for me, Zack go and kill the Goddess Tina! Make her die by your scythe!"

Zack's eyes went bright red as he went straight for her, Tina wasn't scared. "Rico."

"On it."

Rico cast a halt time spell and she went right behind Zack before she nodded her head to Rico. He undid his spell only for her to knock Zack out with her sword by knocking the base of the hilt against his head. Once he was flat on the ground she went straight for Eric who looked shocked. "How the...What the fuck?! This isn't how this is supposed to happen!"
