I Need A Name

Grinning as dirty thoughts ran through my mind, I watched this girl basically Sprint away from me and crawl into a shabby mini van. She screeched off leaving my thoughts in a cloud of dust.

Shaking my head, I approached the counter to place my order and my attention temporarily swayed from the girl and focused on a new prospect. A pretty little brunette was smiling back at me from behind the counter as she twirled and strand of hair with her finger. "Can I help you?" She asked in a near giggle.

Glancing at her nametag I smiled. "Marissa, I'd like a watermelon milkshake please and your phone number" .

Marissa smiled as the old man behind the counter shot me a stern look. Ignoring him,  leaned down and propped my elbows on the counter. "So Marissa, what time is your shift over?"

Marissa giggled. "I'm off in two hour's" .

The old man approached and spouted out. "Marissa, please get this customer's order ready".

Once Marissa walked away to make my shake the old man peered at me. "You knew here?"

" You could say that". I answered annoyed.

Raking his eye's over my appearance he barked. "We don't like trouble around here. In fact we don't stand for it. Next time you come back in remember not to bother my staff. Plaace your order and go".

I laughed a bit bitterly and laid a five on the counter. "Keep the change." I said as I took my milkshake from Mirissa's hand. "I'll see you in two hour's cutie". I said giving her a wink before walking out.

Once in my car I took a sip of my shake and wondered why I chose watermelon. My mind was set on a peanut butter, chocolate shake when I dropped in. Then suddenly a image of a dirty blonde haired girl with glasses came to mind. Who was she and why couldn't I shake her from my thoughts? I don't like to admit it but since I spotted her last night she has crossed my mind on occasion, even considering that I hooked up with some girl named Jewel last night. Who by the way got clingy way too fast. After I rocked her world she was talking about planning a date for the following weekend. I mean yea, who wouldn't fall in love with me? I just agreed and gave her a bogus number just so I could escape.

But this girl that has no name bothers me for reasons I don't understand. It wasn't like she was Zoe, no one was Zoe. So why am I so intrigued by her? What is it about her that makes me want to find out who she is? I'll admit she's quite the beauty. Okay, she's absolutely incredible looking but I've had my share of hot girl's and never felt like this. Maybe it was the way she looked at me without returning my smile. Or perhaps it's because she runs away from me. That's got to be it. I'm only intrigued because she's playing hard to get. Isn't that what women do when they want a guy to chase them? Okay, even though I've never had to chase a female before I can do this just this once. Something tells me that getting between her legs will be worth the chase.

What the hell am I thinking? Me, Chase a girl? No, not going to happen. Never have and not about to start now. There's too many easy chics around here to put myself through that. Besides she left with some guy last night, obviously she has a boyfriend and I can't get in any trouble. Yep, best take my losses on this girl.

All these thoughts are nonsense. There's only ever been one girl to drive me crazy and fill my tho and that's Zoe. However Zoe just needs to come to her senses and realize that I'm the one for her. I flipped through my phone and stared at a picture of her. In the next instant I was ringing her number. As soon as she answered I could hear the annoyance in her voice. "What now Duel?"

" Is that anyway to greet the man who love's you? " I half joked.

I knew that she rolled her eye's and a soft smile touched my lips. "What do you want now Duel? You just called me like three day's ago".
