First let me say that this will be a multi-split chap. I feel that it's best to present it this way so that you can feel what every character is going through. I'll try not to be confusing but feel free to ask questions so I can clarify it for you!

Duel

I've been in New York for two day's now and have only had contact with Zoe, well except my daily phone chats with Chelly. My family believes me to be at a beach in the South celebrating Chelly's new chapter in life. Honestly I'm just ready to get this job over so I can return to my girl.

I've scoped everything out since I've been here and everything seems legit. Zoe claims that her copper lover will be leaving tomorrow on a golfing trip with coworkers. Of course I checked her story out and sure enough he has reservations at a golf club in Vermont. I do trust Zoe but anything is possible. I strike tomorrow night and destroy the evidence he has on my family.

It arrived sooner than I thought. The next day Zoe gave me a call at nine pm stating that she just hung up with him and he was settled in Vermont. Thirty minutes later I arrived at his place as Zoe opened the door for me. Laughing I gave the door a swift kick. "It's got to look like a break in right?"

Not waiting for an answer I started trashing the place along with Zoe's help. "He thinks I'm out with friend's and they'll vouch for me".

I nodded and made my way to his office. As I begin to topple file cabinets and smash thing's Zoe rummaged through the drawer where the video chip was hidden. After several seconds Zoe said frantically. "It's not here".

" Look harder. Where else might he put it? "

Zoe begin searching other drawers as I helped. As we were occupied searching we never saw what was coming. A shot rang out and Zoe fell. Going for my gun I saw the copper along with a dozen of his comrads. "Surrender Harper or I'll kill her. The first shot was only a flesh sound but the next will be right between her eye's" .

Zoe managed to pull herself up on her feet. "Don't listen to him Duel. Kill him". Zoe gritted out while clutching her bleeding arm.

Currently I had nearly seventeen high powered guns aimed on me. Sure, I could kill the copper but I'd be dead in seconds along with Zoe. The copper held up the video chip. "Was you looking for this? Here, have it". He said slinging it into my face. "There's copies". He snickered.

His team begin to merge closer in fully surrounding us. "Might as well surrender Harper. Your family has". He smiled.

I knew he was lying trying to rattle me. Turning his attention to Zoe he growled. "Get over here now" .

"Never". She spat. "I stand with my family always".

" Not anymore. There's no more family. I knew you'd try to take my video so I staged the golf trip and accomplished the biggest bust of my career ". He boasted.

He jerked Zoe to him. "I'm your only hope of keeping you from rotting in a cell. You are mine".

" Shoot Duel". Zoe begged of me.

But I couldn't. If I took the copper out I would be committing suicide. My only option was to surrender. Hating myself but given no choice I dropped my gun. Immediately I was slung to the floor and cuffed. Naturally they delivered a few blows to my body just because they could. Zoe screamed and tried to break free from his grip. "Duel, I didn't set this up. Please believe me".
