I woke late. Both Dahlia and Freyer sat up, speaking in hushed voices. It was obvious that they weren't going to wake me up, especially after what happened yesterday. When they noticed that I was no longer asleep, however, they quit talking and Freyer shifted over to help me up.

"You should've woken me up," I muttered as I looked over at them.

"Stop complaining. You know you needed the sleep," Dahlia states.

"We need to leave this cave," I decided to say. "We've been here for so long that I'm sure the other remaining tributes know we're here."

"Throughout this entire arena this cave seems to hold the most protection," Dahlia says nervously.

"Well I'm sure you haven't been all through this arena like me. Yesterday just to get you some medicine I ran into unknown territory so there's more out there," I explain to her.

"What happened when you went over there?" Freyer asks me.

"All I found out was that my own district partner isn't as kind as he seems. No matter what don't trust him," I explain.

"Well since the bloodbath I've been keeping count. Nine died during the bloodbath and six in the past few days. So there's nine left," Freyer tells us as he gathers our materials up and into our packs.

"That's still so many..." Dahlia sighs.

"The Careers will be on the hunt today plus we never know what the Gamemakers are planning. So we need to be cautious while we're on the move," I say.

"But isn't that an even better reason for us to stay here?" Dahlia wonders.

"The Gamemakers have been watching us this entire time. If they were to let something out it'll be targeting us." I explain to them, slinging my now packed bag over my shoulder.

Following me out of the cave, Freyer helps Dahlia by giving her a sturdy stick to lean on. Although the medicine had quickly healed her wound it still needed more time to heal, especially after getting infected so badly.

"So where are we going to go?" Freyer asks me, making sure to stick by Dahlia's side.

"To the other side of the arena. When I was over there there was more vegetation to keep you concealed," I tell him.
