Sawyer's head rested on Bellamy's lap while he played with her hair and rubbed her back. There was so much commotion around but the toxic thoughts blocked her focus
She was pregnant
With a child
And the world was ending
Bellamy's mind was racing after Clarke had explained to him the news Alie revealed to the blonde girls in the City of Light. He remained untold about Sawyer's pregnancy but he could tell something was off
"We should probably go see the damage outside" Clarke says from her bent down position. "Yea" Bellamy agrees patting Sawyer's back. Clarke stared at the girl nervously as she sat up holding her head that was pounding
"You ok?" Clarke asked putting her hand on the girls shoulder. Sawyer nodded eyes closed as she took a deep breath before standing up
"Um, I'm gonna sit here for a second, you 2 go" Sawyer said nervously as she felt nausea fill her stomach. "Sawyer, you should stay with us" Clarke said shaking her head. Sawyer held her stomach and hissed in pain
"Come on, i'll help you" Bellamy said wrapping his arm around her waist. Sawyer let out a deep breath as she leaned into his touch, she felt cramps restraining her lower stomach making her groan
"Are you ok?" Bellamy asked fear in his voice as the group of 3 stopped. Clarke shot around "Yea, I'm just having cramps" Sawyer said gulping, Clarke stared unsure at Sawyer as anxiety filled all 3 of them
"Come on, we'll get my Mom to check you" Clarke said
Sawyer nodded and faked a smile, "It's probably just that stomach bug you had like 3 months ago was it?" Bellamy said as the group started walking
Clarke's head turned to Sawyer as she gave her a judging glance. Sawyer made eye contact with Clarke before looking down uncomfortable "Yea probably" Sawyer said lightly laughing
Bellamy's comment made worry rise in Sawyer as she relized what 4 months of pregnancy meant. Sawyer had fought Roan, Emerson, farm station, grounders
All people that have put pressure on the girl's body while she carried this child. She had been straddled more times then she could count by people who restrained her on the ground with force
Sawyer drowned out Clarke and Bellamy's conversation as they went down the tower to the bottom. Sawyer looked around in horror at the cries from families who picked up the destruction the City of Light created
Bodies littered the ground, the group walked slowly entering the center. Sawyer looked down as Clarke stepped over a body, blood was gushing from the grounder's head. Sawyer looked up trying not to hurl on the ground from the sight
"How do we tell these people that the world is ending after everything they've been through?" Sawyer said as she scanned the crowd listening to the cries
"We don't. Not until we know Alie was telling the truth" Bellamy said shaking his head
"It was the truth" Clarke says confidently
"Still, we keep it to ourselves until we know what we're dealing with and how to stop it" Bellamy responds, Sawyer nods agreeing
"You're afraid of how people will react?" Clarke says studying Bellamy's body language
"Yes, besides I could use a break" Bellamy says before turning to Sawyer "from keeping you alive" Sawyer laughed and rolls her eyes
"We gave them back their pain, Clarke. Let's not add to that by telling them they're gonna die in six months" Bellamy says turning to the girl. Clarke nods in understanding
